Spicy, dark, & fast paced

Loved listening to this audio and it was a quick dark romance book to enjoy!! There’s some suspense and twists and I ate it up! The audiobook performed in duet by Amanda Willow & Joe Arden and they both did a lovely job at narrating this. The intensity of certain scenes really came through and I just wanted to keep listening. There’s action, suspense, spice, complicated relationships, and instant chemistry between Cain & Celeste. If you want a quick and spicy dark romance, definitely add this to your list!

gripping listen with a creepy holiday vibe

He Sees You by Elizabeth Knox is a fast-moving, insta-obsession dark romance. The suspense builds quickly, blending stalking tension, small-town secrets, and escalating violence with just the right balance of spice. There was definitely a few moments that made me stop and say what just happened here.

The story follows Celeste, a dark romance author battling writer’s block who returns home searching for inspiration. What she finds instead is Cain: dangerous, obsessive, and already deeply familiar with her mind through her writing. Cain is unapologetically unhinged and firmly in morally black territory, yet somehow still compelling.

The audiobook elevates the entire experience. Amanda Willow captures Celeste’s emotional unraveling and inner conflict beautifully. Joe Arden once again proves why he excels at obsessive anti-heroes; his portrayal of Cain is chilling, controlled, and magnetic. Together, their performances bring the tension, chemistry, and chaos to life in a way that feels seamless and immersive.

This is a quick but gripping listen with a creepy holiday vibe, plenty of shock value, and a romance that’s as unsettling as it is addictive. Despite a few moments that felt a little rushed, I finished this audiobook fully entertained and more than ready to pick up more of Elizabeth Knox’s work.

Dark romance

I absolutely loved getting the chance to listen to he sees you. I recently took alittle break from dark romance and this was the perfect comeback book to listen to! The secrets were one after another for Celeste finding out about the town she was from, her dad and the “trusted” people in it! Cain helped her see the truth and brought out the real her! I was not expecting the twists and turns near the end, I had suspicions but was not expecting that. The spice was really good as well! Amanda willow and Joe Arden did absolutely amazing with narration! I can’t wait to listen to more of this series!

The concept is strong and immediately intriguing, especially for readers drawn to stories centered on obsession and creative vulnerability.

The execution, however, felt uneven. Once the central connection is established, the pacing accelerates quickly, causing emotional and relational shifts to feel rushed rather than earned. This made it difficult to fully connect with the main character’s transformation.

The audiobook narration is a highlight. Joe Arden delivers a compelling and emotionally rich performance that adds intensity to the story, while Amanda Willow offers a solid counterbalance, though her delivery felt more restrained by comparison. The duet narration keeps the listening experience engaging and elevates the material overall.

In the end, He Sees You will appeal most to readers who enjoy dark romance with obsessive themes, morally gray characters, and a winter holiday backdrop. While the premise and narration are compelling, pacing issues prevented the story from fully reaching its potential for me.

Dark little Christmas Story!

This was the perfect quick Christmas time dark romance story, I devoured this the day after Christmas and was sucked in from the very beginning! This was a fantastically written, well thought out stalker dark romance that also came straight off the pages and to life with Joe and Amanda’s flawless performance. This story does have trigger warnings for child trafficking, and that shouldn’t be brushed aside. It does have dark themes…but it was sooooo good, if you don’t have triggers!
