The night's chaos left us breathless. Now the real nightmare begins.

A second dragon has awoken—her heart tainted and her power commandeered by two ruthless highbloods whose cruelty knows no bounds.

My dearest friend teetered on the brink of death. A dragon saved her, but now she's tied to him in a way I can scarcely understand. What will this new bond do to the woman I've come to love as a sister?

And then there's Blake. Once my relentless tormentor—he betrayed me again, nearly condemning Nyxaris to a cursed, stone-cold fate. Now, something has shifted in him. His gray eyes hide a secret he's desperate to keep.

I saved Blake's life, despite everything. Yet now my every heartbeat questions where we go from here.

With Bloodwing Academy in turmoil and a new headmaster no one saw coming, only one thing is certain: This is going to be one hell of a year.

At Bloodwing Academy, power comes with blood, and betrayal is as common as ambition. This dark fantasy series tackles mature themes. Listeners are advised to consult the trigger warnings before embarking on this intense, morally gray/black journey through the realm of Sangratha!

The story follows other characters. If you like a good cliffhanger, then you will enjoy the end.

Cliffhanger

I love when a fantasy romance has danger, chaos, and a slow-burn connection, and this one definitely delivers. The characters go through so much, and watching their relationship grow while everything around them is falling apart had me completely invested.

There were moments that had me stressed, moments that had me swooning, and of course moments where I needed to know what happens next immediately.

If you love fantasy romance with magic, tension, and a relationship that keeps building through the chaos, this one is definitely worth the listen

And clearly… I’m always a sucker for a love story in the middle of chaos. I know I have issues

Reagan and Kag had me like Medra and Blake

The Wings that Bind expands the scope of the series quite a bit by introducing five POVs: Nevell, Medra, Blake, Regan, and Florence. While Medra and Blake’s story continues at the center, the shift in perspectives opens the door for several new storylines and character developments.

One of the biggest changes in this installment is that Medra and Blake are finally on the same page in their relationship. After all the tension and emotional turmoil of the previous books, it was satisfying to see them reach a place of understanding. Their dynamic still carries weight, but the story begins to branch out more into the arcs of other characters.

Florence and Nyxaris’s storyline is introduced here, focusing on their newly formed bond. It adds another layer to the world and relationships within the series, and I’m interested to see where their connection leads in future books.

Regan’s arc was one of the more intriguing developments in this installment. There’s clear growth happening for her, and it feels like the beginning of something bigger for her character. Kage also becomes a key player within Regan’s story, and their interactions hint at some compelling possibilities moving forward.

As with the first two books, the audiobook narration was a bit choppy for me. While the story itself was engaging, the narration didn’t land quite as strongly as I had hoped. Hannah Hedley’s performance was pleasant, but the character voices weren’t always distinct enough, which sometimes made it difficult to tell who was speaking. Justin Hill brought strong emotion to his narration, though there were moments where the constant intensity in each voice made certain scenes feel more heightened than necessary. Persephone Lee’s character voices were more pronounced, but the performance still felt a bit lacking overall. Olivia Wright, however, was excellent in every way and really stood out among the narrators.

Overall, it continues to expand the world and character dynamics of the series. While the multiple POVs and narration were a bit uneven for me, there’s still plenty of intrigue in the evolving relationships and character arcs that makes me curious to see where the story goes next.

A new story unfolded within the continuation of the series. Bringing more depth and excitement.

An unexpected surprise!

The third book didn't disappoint. Can't wait for the next one. The only criticism I have is of the weird dragon/human romance and sexual tension. I could have gone my whole life without that.

Amazing Series
