A quiet climb back to godhood was never in the cards.

Word is spreading about a young man in a strange helmet. A Wood rank who punches above his weight. A nobody who keeps surviving things he shouldn't. In taverns, they tell stories of him. And in the deep, forgotten places of this world, the whispers of his deeds find ears, too.

Unaware of the growing danger, Brynn has finally reached the subterranean city of Thrask and the chance to claim his cursed bedroll token along with the rest of his hard-won loot.

For the first time since waking on Eros, Brynn can catch his breath. Raid the alchemist shop for potions. Upgrade his personal space. Cross paths with grommets, a strange race of creatures who seem far too interested in watching his every move.

But when his goal is divinity, there’s no time for long rests. Before long, Brynn sets his sights on the nearest dungeon. Within, his rapidly evolving powers will be pushed beyond their limit.

Old enemies and new will converge. But surviving this place could mean a reward far greater than simple loot or levels. Victory here could earn Brynn a power nobody has ever claimed before.

He’ll just have to live long enough to claim it.

Book 2 of an action-packed LitRPG progression fantasy filled with creative class systems, accomplishment-based loot, and a growing cast of lovable misfit allies, pets, and creatures.

Perfect for fans of the gritty stakes and twisted charm of
Dungeon Crawler Carl, the cosmic progression and rich world-building of He Who Fights With Monsters, and the deep systems and satisfying grind of Defiance of the Fall!

I really enjoyed the continuation of this story. Some people were unhappy with parts of it, but I think it was great. can't wait for the next installment!

Great Story and Narration!

this book is great. I have a few issues with where the author went but its not totally unexpected.

Already i can tell this book will take a very long time to get through. its book 2 and he has only just Hit Iron Rank. this isn't a bad thing but most authors tend to lose focus on the goal after MC gets to a certain point in power. the clear goal of some unknown threat in the future might work out that problem tho.

I like that Characters almost childlike enjoyment of Trophies and badges. its enjoyable. breaks up the intentionally dark moments well.

I like the weird races and strange culture clashes that don't get too weird like in Crawler Carl. its strange but still grounded.

I've always hated "The Dark Passager" plot or subplot. the unreliable narration, the MC or companion losing control or having to read angst and gloomyness for several books until the passenger becomes a manageable tool or later companion. it tests the authors ability to write and build a narrative. to skew the perspective just enough to get the point across without annoying the reader. this book takes that trope and twists it slightly. what if your dark passenger is an old Jealous companion who always was envious of your popularity and natural skill. compelling yet still unwanted and not really something I want to chew through.

Im not particularly fond of excessive perspective changes. Sometimes being left in the dark is what's needed. I dont care about the plans of a narcissist who thinks they are right about everything. The plans of an already overused antagonist that just won't die and won't put full effort into killing Brin

if the Dark mana corruption is going to be a reacuring plot point this next book will let me know if im dropping the series or not.

a prestige system is awesome.

at the end of chapter 30 the audio bugs out for a bit and is loud and static. scared the crap out of me with headphones on

Jumpscare at the end of chapter 30

It was great and even unique right, until 2 hours out when the mc gets infected with a dark power that he has to hide. Know it’s like all the others boring and uninteresting. Don’t know if I’ll finish the series

Good until the end then it got bad
