Definitely a middle book

Meh. There's so much going on, yet nothing really happens. I like the general bones of this story, but im finding as we continue on there is a lot of repetition, random subplots added in, and the holes. It is not the last book in the series, so im trying to ignore holes as they could potentially be resolved later, but right now things seem unnecessary.

I listened to the audiobook, as with the first two Stina Nielsen and Kale Williams do a fantastic job narrating.

Pros:
I really like the unique magic system and the world building for this story. Im invested in the characters and want to see their story through.

Gripes:
I wish there was more interaction/bonding with A & Sol. Im not sure how they can have such a strong bond when they're almost never together and bicker when they are. I dislike when the main characters are separated for legnthy periods of time and this book was almost entirely that. The memory loss / memory planting was weird as well. Finally, I was disappointed that this book ended in a cliffhanger that's essentially the same as the previous book.

Omg this book had me on pins and needles !! I cannot wait for the next audiobook ! Their love story is soooo good just brilliant!! I highly recommend this series

This came out just in time with me finishing book 2! It has made this a very merry Christmas indeed, exceptional once again 😍

Each book gets better and better

I have never been a fan of the narrators, but this is a fun story and I’m looking forward to the fourth and final book.
