A wonderful story

Rocket, Willow, and Poppy are a real family. I enjoyed seeing the growth in all of them. It was great seeing the rest of the band and their families, too. The narration was great by two narrators that I haven't heard before. I can't wait for K Bromberg's next book.

Rocket is a member of Bent a very well known rock band whose world is about to be turned upside down when he finds out he has a 3 yr old daughter named Poppy. Knowing he needs help he will do anything pay any amount to keep on Willow the woman who has been caring for Poppy while they waited for the paternity test results.

Willow is a grade school teacher who is between jobs and her cousin gets her to care for a little girl who lost her mom and is about to go live with a father she had never met. Willow cares deeply for Poppy and will help any way she can to make sure this little girl has all she needs.

This was a sweet listen and I enjoyed it. Not overly spicy but the spice that is in there is good. I liked the characters and the overall plot.

Single dad romance

This audiobook brought the story to life in the best way possible! The narrators’ voices were exactly how I pictured the characters — they captured every emotion so beautifully.

He’s a single dad who doesn’t think he’s capable of raising his little girl, and she’s the nanny who helps him believe he can. With her reassurance and quiet strength, he slowly lets go of his self-doubt. I loved watching him fall not just for his daughter but for Willow too.

The chemistry and the push and pull between them made every chapter so engaging, and when they finally give in — perfection. He’s willing to fight for what he loves, and that made my heart melt.

Bromberg book, and it immediately pulled me in with its blend of vulnerability, charm, and perfectly balanced spice.
