Loved Cal and Sutton

Last Resort Is the first book of the S.I.N Series and we were introduced to Callahan Sharpe. The young, sexy, alpha, and rebellious playboy.
Because of his ways, Callahan’s family dynamic is complex. It didn’t always work in his favor. Making the dynamic with his brothers one of jealousy, resentment and hostility at times. Looking to escape and run, this current work project for their family business would be Callahan’s last, as a promise to his father, until he met Sutton.
What started off as a playful, no names revealed one night stand with Sutton ends up sending them both through the wringer when she realizes he’s her new boss. This forced proximity, forbidden, work place romance ends up with them having to work together in the Virgin Islands but also having to stay away from each other.
Their banter was sexy and sassy, their chemistry was both tempting and spicy. With too much at stake Sutton challenges Cal in more way then one, in the work place but also on a personal level. We follow them on the roller coaster of navigating life, romance, and work. Great read, and audiobook listen Stella Hunter and Aaron Shedlock did a great job in narration and kept me engaged. Loved this quick read/listen. On to the next book in the series!

Scorching hot chemistry!

Last Resort is a steamy, heartfelt story that I devoured and loved.  Sutton and Callahan's chemistry was instant and scorching hot from the moment they meet. Neither have any intention on seeing the other again after one steamy hookup, but their paths were about to cross again much sooner than either of them thought, as Callahan is part owner of Sharpe International. The company Sutton has just been hired to consult on a new project.

As we are introduced to Sutton, she is coming out of an toxic relationship. She has lost her confidence, her way and ability to put herself first. However, she is a strong and courageous woman, and recognizes this and wants better for herself. She is intelligent, driven and career-focused. I also admired her tenacity and strength.

What I loved about Callahan is his persistency. He is a big catalyst in getting Sutton back to her true self. The confidence she gained is immeasurable and I loved her growth so much. Callahan has never been a one-woman man, and is thrown off by how drawn to Sutton he is. I loved seeing him fumble through his feelings as the pull to Sutton became stronger and stronger. As the two begin working together, the build-up and intensity of their attraction to one another was fantastic. They know they should not be together and should keep their relationship to a professional level but the pull is just too hard to fight. I loved their banter and how cohesively they worked together in their work setting as well as romantically.

Last Resort was an excellent start to the S.I.N. Series. This new series will feature three identical triplets in each book, and I am already looking forward to the next brother to get his HEA.

Audiobook Narration- after reading an ARC of this book I loved it so much I couldn’t wait to hear the story again narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter. Stella was the perfect voice for Sutton. She delivers a flawless emotional performance emphasizing the many layers to her characters feelings as she is on this journey of discovering herself again. I loved Aaron as Callahan as well. He has a gruff sexy growl that is pleasing to the ear during those steamy scenes, but can also deliver on his characters vulnerabilities that brings a deeper level of emotion. I loved it and highly recommend the audiobook!

Lots of emotions in this one

It's been awhile since I've listened to a K. Bromberg book and it was such a nice change of pace for me. I loved the twist with the one night stand and then meeting him in the conference room the next day. Oh wait, meeting 3 of him in the conference room. Which one was the one night stand?

Sutton is very good at her job, but you would not know that since she never takes the lead role on projects. She has an ex who is threatened by her success and is verbally and mentally abusive. I cheered when she kicked him to the curb. Then when she took on the lead role for Ocean's Edge.

Callahan does not thrive in an office environment. He is more of a hands on, get it done type of person. So when his brothers "punish" him by sending him to Ocean's Edge to oversee the overhaul of the resort, he thrives. But he's always looking out for his brothers, who show up unannounced periodically, to find him lacking.

Ms Bromberg brought out emotions in this book. Feelings of inadequacy, frustration, anger, embarrassment, heartbreak and most of all love. Great start to a new series. I can't wait to read about Ford and Ledger.

Stella Hunter is such a joy to listen to. She brings Sutton to life Aaron had his work cut out for him portraying triplets and yet making each their own. Well done narrators. Truly enjoyed this audiobook.

Heartwarming, funny, steamy!

Absolutely adored Last Resort. It’s the first book I’ve tried of K. Bromberg and I’ve already bought the next! 100% worth the credit. They story is slightly predictable but still hooks you and keeps you listening.

This was good!

I can’t express how good this was. Ok fare warning you will start off with a lot of steamy parts, but the drama gets you so invested in the story I really didn’t mind all that. It’s good and for a story little under 8hrs I feel like it was perfect.

A FIVE STAR • SPARKY • CUTE • SEXY • SLOW-BURN

This very enjoyable sweet and fun story was comfort food for my heart and soul and, as I eased into this delicious delight, I got that feel-good high from each and every well-written chapter. A beautiful sexy one-night stand between a charismatic charmer and a woman who had just freed herself from a toxic two year relationship. By morning everyone was happy.. that is until Fate and Destiny stepped in that very same day. The warmth and lightness in the flirty fun banter.. the push ‘n pull and sexual tension.. the boundaries, stop signs and fiery gazes.. and the hopeful and desperate dirty talk had me totally hooked. And the head vs heart decisions, the snapping of strings.. and the passion and romance were all just perfectly paced and played. Because Billionaire Player Callahan will be slow to realize he’s found the ‘one’ in his sea of ‘right nows’. However, their close weeks together implementing and improving his family’s failing Virgin Island Luxury Holiday Resort will bring character growth to him, strength to Sutton and growth and unity to them both.. until.

Which mixes a heady cocktail of attraction, denied lust and a working relationship that is anything but solid or safe because memories from their steamy one night together keeps hijacking their thoughts with sexy mental images. The ‘Player’ wants to play some more.. however the ‘just been burned’ doesn’t want to repeat her mistakes. And their dual POV slow-burn to happiness was pure joy to listen to thanks to the great dual POV narration by Stella and Aaron who brought the characters and feels to life perfectly.

Worth a credit? Yes, I loved every single second.. and I’m looking forward to the next Sharpe brother’s tale.. because these three identical triplets have got my swoon and drool votes ladies 😉😋🥰🤭🤫.

Finally! A Billionaire Romance with Depth

The storyline began pretty typically—a likable, gorgeous, albeit slightly insecure and wounded Right in the beginning, there was the steam, like many in this genre, making me wonder, “Should I be bothered?” But Sutton and Callahan grew on me. I daresay, Callahan’s story made me cry. Twice. Sutton had a **gasp** character arc (!). So between the tears and sunny paradise of the Caribbean—it was a fun and engaging
read.

Another Fabulous K. Bromberg book!!

I never pass up a book by Kristy Bromberg and this one is one of my new favorites. The story is fresh and so are the characters. There’s hot sex, of course, but there’s so much more to the dynamic of the relationship. Callahan Sharpe is a fascinating character, definite alpha, but there’s a side to him which is slowly revealed that stole my heart. If anyone can uncover who really he is it’s Sutton Pierce, a woman with her own agenda. I love her strength despite her background. Stella Hunter and Aaron Shedlock give listeners an unforgettable performance as these well written characters. Their banter matches the vibe of the story and they bring you right into the story.
I highly recommend the ebook version and the audiobook version.

Amazing

Where to even begin on this incredible listen. Callahan and Sutton have the most incredible emotionally charged story of two people coming together. I found Sutton's character resonating in my soul and so easy to relate to and cheering for her. Callahan is the restless bachelor (who happens to be a triplet) and finds himself longing for something he didn't know he needed. The tension is the perfect, the build up is angst provoking, the feels are over the top. I love how these two truly found themselves came together after a one night stand and has left me with a book I will listen to again and will remain with me.

The narration was perfect and oh how I could lost in his voice. I found her voice incredibly soothing and feel like they both did a great job bringing this book to life.
