When one man becomes the chosen deity of a church, it's all fun and games . . . until it interferes with his fishing time.

After months of sticking his head in the sand—sometimes literally—Fischer is finally ready to learn the secrets of the Kallis Realm . . . just in time for some of his followers to start hoarding them. Talk about infuriating.

Still, there's much to be grateful for. The world's chi is growing stronger every day, leading to unique awakenings, strange creations, and unexpected allies for Fischer and the gang. Not to mention some downright absurd changes to Tropica's sea life.

Meanwhile, on a distant continent, far less cozy powers are feeding off the same increased essence—and unlike Fischer, they've got zero interest in playing nice. But it'll be fine. Probably.

The fifth volume of the laugh-out-loud LitRPG adventure series—a #1 Rising Star on Royal Road with more than three million views—now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook!

Best book evarrr! Even Bettarrr than the last book, and believe you/me that book was AwesomeSauce! But Haylock Jobson and Heath Miller knew what they were doin when they unleashed the book on their unsuspecting reader Cadre. I loved every mesmerizing moment! And with all the pop-cultural references that you can have fun with, you won't wanna miss this book! Guaranteed... In this book Fischer the God-King decides to make the love of his life Maria his Queen! Ohhhh myyy what a fantastic marriage. It'll certainly be remembered for the ages, as the whole town of Tropica turned out to celebrate! Fischer was also given one of the hardest jobs of his life. The job was to keep his hands off, to trust his followers and to let the crafters follow their own pursuits. Even if they're edangering themselves in the process! Your gonna hafta find out what happens when the God-Empress takes umbrage to the newly crowned King and Queen!
So join the Posse and get the book!

Here's a couple three quotes:

“Fæthm sounds the same, but it has that weird letter that looks like both an A and an E and hurts your brain if you think about it too long."

"...he had always been responsible—except for when pies were involved, but that didn’t count. Baked goods and bad choices went hand in hand."

“Obviously. I said we could go back for a life-or-death scenario, and coffee is the bare minimum for survival.”

Best book/series evarrr! Frackentastic!

These books make a great series. Every book in this series are full of adventure and laughter. The characters are hilarious and powerful. They fight hard for what they have, and have the best new goals for their own progression, and each others. Friendship and fishing, and adventure.

One of the best easy going stories.

I really like this series, it's very funny and has a lot of cute stuff happening in a cozy slice of life. I have been anticipating this one for a bit, and was real excited for it. But through most of this book I was not drawn in, a lot of the story was literally just "Can't tell Fisher" and that was like 90% of the jokes that he just can't know and he's freaking out. Remove that and the book is suddenly 4 hours shorter. Narrated well, sad about the lack of humor for a single gag and the otter that doesn't really play pranks. Also the disjointed story telling has taken too large a stage here, continuity is hard to keep sometimes and large swaths of time pass without much recognition or interesting events occuring.

when 9/10 interactions with the main character end in "we just won't tell you and you must TRUST" is obnoxious slow and a massive copout for not actually really writing anything

it's impressive how little happens in the 18 hours because all the actual important events and information are all sandbagged in the last 30 minutes. like I didn't realize at first but it's really really really slow and a just everything is hidden to make it seem intense but it feels like no solid ideas had crystalized til like 14 hours into the book.

Honestly if you get annoyed with the book, you can skip to the last chapter and miss literally no information that would prevent you from going into the next book with little to no missing plot points.

excited then dissappointed

Every other chapter is a cliffhanger(being obtuse). Its frustrating and very confusing when you stop reading for a few hours/days. Its like a bunch of threads starting, stopping, and weaving over each other while you try to follow 3 of them. If you set the book down for any length of time or get distracted its hard to pick up the thread. It doesn't help the massive plot holes(nations not acting/functioning like real nations, leaders not having a clue how to lead, scouts not existing, no paperwork/laws, etc...) in the surrounding world. They aren't directly affecting the main story in Tropica, but still you can see them on the border. Finally, the fights keep getting longer and longer. They never finish till everyone gets to play a part and everyone becomes friends and forget everything they did/ had done to them/others. Its like Disney made Dragonball. The author continues to pick up new stuff and toss out/ignore old stuff. Like the previous books the entire plot is buoyed up by misconceptions heaped on more misconceptions. Let me tell you, its not fun reading a half dozen misconceptions/miscommunications its just frustrating.

Frustrating and Exhausting
