Publisher's summary

For Noah Vines, death isn't the end. It's a weapon.

After standing around in the afterlife for thousands of years, Noah is all out of patience. When the opportunity to steal a second chance at living arises, he doesn’t hesitate.

Reincarnated into the body of a dying magic school professor, Noah finds that he took more than just a second chance. He got infinite. Every time he dies, his body reforms.

Lives are a currency, and Noah Vines is rich.

With countless variations of runic magic to discover and with death serving as only a painful soul-wound rather than a final end, Noah finally has a chance to wander the lands of the living once more.

This time around, he plans to get strong enough to make sure that he never has to wait around in the afterlife again.

Don't miss the next hit Progression Fantasy series from Actus, bestselling author of My Best Friend is an Eldritch Horror. Featuring a strong, intelligent protagonist, a detailed runic magic system, loads of power progression, and so much more.

With nearly 10 million views as a webserial, you can experience the definitive version of this smash-hit series on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Great start

Like the magic system, and story telling is good. MC with “ Memory “ loss allows us as readers to learn everything with him without it being thrown into our faces.

Amazing beginning

One of my favorite starts to a series. Both, the voice acting and the writing was amazing. the beginning is cringe because of the awkward situation. But, it just adds to the story.

Awesome magic system. Easy to understand but full of possibilities.

loved everything in the story, world building extremely limited so far though, MC appears to have little interest in learning anything but magic so far in his new world.

Cool magic system

The rune magic system is cool and the characters aren’t bad. I liked the story and will definitely be getting the next book that being said I’m not hooked on the people.
I think my problem with them was just a lack of development. While there is a couple of personal growth moments they are all somewhat one dimensional. We know the MC was a teacher but little else. You actually know more about the demon than you do him.
He sucks at waiting and drops various wisdom bombs through out, but how or why? It just leaves me wondering.
Still damn good story and narration.

wow! actus did great with this one

out of all of his books and series, my best friend is an Eldritch horror is one of my favorites and I do highly recommend it and this has the exact same tone and feeling. assuming the other books in this series are as good as this one. it can easily take top spot for me. thank you so much! actus keep up the good work! can't wait to see what's next

Fun listen

Interesting characters in a isekai plot line. It’s an easy very enjoyable read which I recommend.

Bit disappointing

While the characters and story itself Is fine and the magic system is interesting. The hook of reincarnation progression is done disappointingly. The MC is from earth and even mentions how he needs to use his earth knowledge to unlock rare magic. Yet he doesnt he does some small small stuff with vibrations that anyone who just shoves power into the magic could do. No special earth knowledge. His one one good idea of "sound" gets twisted and almost tossed out completely.

Does he use his magic in unique ways or have OP abilities? NO he is in fact WORSE than anyone else the whole time. Besides his one gimmick unique to him, hes pretty bad.

While others can make swords sharp, armor of magic, boost physical power, grow vines, form fire into forms and so much more. Our MC....forms spikes and blades with wind and ash....wow...or hits something to vibrate it...

He has zero imagination. he uses his magic in the most basic of basic ways. I was hoping he would do stuff like use wind magic to raise oxygen content then switch to fire to make ultra hot flames with that. Make a sword vibrate so fast it becomes a vibroblade. Anything but...make a blade of wind. Hell he doesnt even make wind barriers to block throw rocks he just takes the hits..

Good Progression

The MC's view on how things should be and life in general is annoyong to me. I am guessing he will regret his decision about the demon eventually. A scorpion is a scorpion at they say but ideological folks never believe it. The book was hard to put down so worth the expense.

Good with slight narrator issues

When I first listened to it halfway through chapter 4 it started playing from the beginning. thankfully redownloading fixed it. I find the magic system interesting and I'm liking where it's going but the one issue I had was that it was indistinguishable when Noah was having an inner thought or when he talks with someone. like Lee tells Noah about a fiction of a master rune and Noah starts talking about his own and I genuinely thought he was telling Lee for a second and then it was just an inner monologue. this happened a lot. honestly Actus never disappoints and I can't wait for book 2
