Love love Chris! He tricked me into thinking he was a beta but he's anything but. That man does whatever and I do mean whatever it takes to get him to Ella. This book had it all. Lies, secrets, deceit, manipulation, twists and turns! The chemistry was off the charts. Ella doesn't stand a chance against Chris. She doesn't just take everything thrown at her though. She pushes back and does her best to not be bulldozed by Chris.

Narration was amazing!!!

Great narration!

Narration was excellent! Storyline was decent, I just didn’t like the characters and the toxicity. I know that’s kind of the point, but I don’t know, this one just didn’t do it for me. I think I was hoping for something different? It wasn’t bad, just wasn’t for me. The audiobook version was enjoyable with Heather Firth, Corvin King as narrators. They always do a fantastic job so I was not surprised with their performance 👏🏻

Hmmm...

So I love me some dark romance but I really didn't feel this was one. It's got BDSM, other kinks, stalking and unaliving yet the hero was just a big cinnamon roll. Morally grey, sure, just not as much as advertised. Still a decent story and I don't regret the credit spent, just won't be getting into the rest of the series. I think you'll either like it or hate it, there's no in-between with this book.

Audiobook review:
I absolutely LOVE Corvin! He’s amazingly talented. I love what he narrates. He brings the unhinged out in the MMC :) I loved the audio because of the narrators but I didn’t care much for story. Yes, I’m all for bully, lying, manipulating and more dark romance but this was a little too far. There wasn’t even any groveling :/

I hate Rose White with a passion and I was ready to go OFF about how she was so unnecessarily present in this book — but all that was worth it to see Chris put her in her place and tell her off 🥳

Chris & Ella’s dynamic is more than just sexy ‘call him daddy’ but also not quite DDlg or daddy dom, it’s somewhere in between. Chris isn’t quite a daddy dom — he’s more like a daddy dom in training 😂
