Nowhere is safe for a fae alone…

For all his many days, Allarion has been faithful to queen and country. In their sparkling city on the sea, the fae live long lives of pleasure and luxury. But pretty things can be rotten at their core, and not all is as it seems. A betrayal at the heart of the fae court shatters Allarion's belief in all that he once held sacred.

Now in hiding, he must make his own sanctuary in the human kingdom of Eirea. The dilapidated estate of Scarborough has been waiting for a chance, and he intends to breathe new life into the land. All he needs is the final anchor to his magic, the one thing that binds a fae to the earth more thoroughly than any spell or power: A mate. Obtaining the woman he wants will be easy. Keeping her is another matter.

There is no denying a fae when he comes to your door…

All her life, barmaid Molly hasn't had time for dreams or fancies or romance. From caring for her cousins to serving the patrons of her uncle's tavern, life has always been about earning her keep. That at least kept her safe. Or so she thought. She never imagined her uncle might sell her off to the mysterious patron who's haunted the tavern and Molly's dreams for months.

Molly wants a family—not a kidnapping fae with no sense of humor, his terrifying, grumpy unicorn, and a sentient but malfunctioning house. But then, life has never been about what Molly wants—at least until her fae captor insists that's all he cares about…

A fae in search of his queen. A woman hoping for a home. Together they could build everything they dreamed—if humans and fae alike don't tear them apart first.

Fans of Grace Draven, Ruby Dixon, and SJM will love this fluffy, steamy monster romance story! Contains mature content. A complete list of content warnings can be found on the author's website.

Book three stands on its own but will best be enjoyed after Ironling.

I had a lot of issues w the first book, overall enjoyed it tho, the second the writing noticeably improved, again really good, and now for this book - wonderful! I will definitely reread the series, especially this book. I loved her rendition of fae and unicorns and overall magic system. the characters were great, the cameos from past and future books is done well. the narrators were awesome! the only thing is I wish this was a duet rather than a dual but honestly not even that big of an issue, the narrators did a good job w the opposite sex character voices, im just nitpicking I guess. all in all, I rec this book series for sure!

each book keeps getting better

I absolutely loved this, The only issue I had was that the male narrator sounds almost exactly like Patrick Warburton, which made me giggle during the spicy scenes.

Loved it

Tropes: Cinnamon roll hero, fated mates, found family, magical house, slow burn, touch her and you die, grumpy unicorn sidekick, miscommunication, small-town fantasy vibes

Okay, listen. I just finished and I’m still grinning like a fool. I gave it five stars and I already need the next book like yesterday.

💘 Allarion & Molly — The Softest Fae + The Strongest Girl

Allarion? BABY. That man is pure golden retriever wrapped in ancient Fae mystery. He doesn’t even need food or drink, but he keeps showing up at Molly’s tavern ordering drinks just so she can earn a little coin. I mean, sir. That’s love language right there.

And Molly? She’s been through it. Working for her trash uncle who spends all his money on himself while she tries to feed herself and her cousins? She deserves the moon. She’s cautious, smart, and a little emotionally bruised, but watching her fall for Allarion—slowly, sweetly, with all that fated-mate tension? Chef’s kiss. I was kicking my feet.

🦄 Bellerand — The Unicorn Who Needs His Own Spin-Off

Now let’s talk about Bellerand. This unicorn is in a full-on feud with the squirrels in the forest and I am not exaggerating when I say he stole every scene. He’s salty, dramatic, and low-key jealous of Molly because it’s been just him and Allarion for ages. He’s basically the grumpy best friend who throws shade but would fight a dragon for you(Maybe fight next to a dragon 👀,). I want him in every book forever.

🏡 The House — Encanto Meets Cottagecore Chaos

And THE HOUSE. It’s sentient. It has moods. It’s giving Encanto meets cozy fantasy and I was obsessed. Molly doesn’t trust it at first (girl, same), but the way she slowly bonds with it? It’s like watching someone fall in love with a home that loves them back. Literal magic.

---

This book had me laughing, swooning, and whispering “oh noooo” during the miscommunication scenes. It’s romantic, hilarious, and full of heart. If you love cinnamon roll heroes who would burn the world down for their girl, magical settings with personality, and unicorns who throw shade like it’s their job then this is probably the book for you!

Now someone please tell me when book four drops because I’m not okay.
