Corin Cadence is on the run.

After meeting with the Emerald Council, Corin has made himself some new enemies—most notably the Dalenos Six, a group of the most powerful representatives of the nation of Dalenos.

He's also made a dangerous deal.

A place of safety, if he can reach it. One where he can finally have one of the resources he needs most: time.

But while that strange place may hold the key for Corin to make his final preparations for a long-awaited rescue mission, it also holds hidden dangers. And one final secret tied to the Cadence household. One that could shake the very foundations of everything Corin has been raised to believe.

Great story with even more world building. Brief was in the title and the length is in accordance with that statement. Previous books have been longer but I understand the necessity for pacing and appropriate stopping points. My greatest fear with these fantasy genre books is author burnout and never getting another book like with “the land” series. Please don’t stop writing. Some of us don’t have stasis chambers to wait on more books.

Another great but brief continuation.

Rowe’s marvelous world-building continues steadily as the threads continue to connect and deepen. Marvelously fun action sequences that any fan will be gripped by their unrelenting tension, twists, and turns. Can’t wait for the next one!

Absolutely Delightful

If you liked the other books in arcane ascension, this one won’t disappoint. Excited to see where the next book takes them.

Great addition to the series

there's a reason I try to avoid litrpgs. the plot always gets too big, the cast gets too big, no time to focus on the characters, the power-ups just become rdiculous. while i do see that with this series, Andrew does a good job of balancing things in a way that keeps my interest. but the universe it's set in is so vast that it feels overwhelming and I'm not keen on following new characters all the time, which is why I personally didnt like the added POVs. I'll finish this series gladly, but I dont care about the greater plot because I know it's not going to resolve with Corin.

good but I'm tired
