As if my life doesn't suck enough already, my insufferable new roommate, Miller MacAvoy, seems determined to make things weird. He watches me all the time, grinning at me like a beautiful idiot, eyes boring holes into me every time I turn my back on him.

Still, he watches and waits. Insisting again and again that I have something he wants to buy. It's insane. I have nothing of value to sell. Absolutely nothing. My phone screen is cracked and my truck could easily be mistaken for scrap.

Wait. No! Surely not. He can't possibly be thinking that.

Really freaking good

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. One of the narrators wasn't my favorite in the world but I've heard worse and he wasn't irritating enough to make me switch to the ebook so there's that. The story was interesting and didn't go the whole angst for the sake of angst route which with this story line would have been pretty easy to do. It also made me laugh a few times which I always like in a book. Worth the credit and will likely listen to it again someday.

Exceeded Expectations

This was such a fun story. I have no idea what kind of fetish it is to want someone to be mean to you, but good Lord, it's a good thing Ryan found someone who could put up with his shit.

I was entirely entertained the whole way through.The book made me stay up until 4am to finish it. The sex scenes were steamy. I loved both narrators. A+ performance. This is my first time for Shannon Gunn and he did not disappoint. His voice has so much character and warmth and I loved the way he actually performed Miller, adding in the laughing and teasing tones at the right times.

I was sorry that the book ended. I will definitely read it again sometime.

Great story but would have preferred a different narrator for 2nd MMC

This story was honestly pretty good and entertaining. It kept me wanting more. With that said, I am not a fan of Shannon Gunns voice and story telling. It’s kind of creepy. So, I would have preferred a different narrator for Miller. I am a huge fan of Kirt Graves and he did an amazing job!

Heady mix of steamy and unexpectedly emotional. Loved it. Definitely cried. Wish I could listen to it for the first time all over again!

I love Ryan and Miller. This book is high spice and hot af. I love the narrators for this audiobook.

I really enjoyed this!

I totally get why Ryan and Miller initially happened - 1 has money and the other does not. But as time went by it was easy to see why they could continue to happen whether money was there or not. The performance by both Kirt and Shannon was superb, I have to admit I found Shannon's performance as Miller charming, especially when you can hear the slight laugh in his voice when he's teasing Ryan. The sex scenes were hot and steamy. I also like that although Miller used to pay for services with Ryan it was never a sore issue and they could even laugh about it - as we see in a role play session towards the end.

4 starz - worthy of a repeat listen

Great story and narration!

I have been in a little bit of a book slump lately and originally did not have high expectations for this audiobook... boy, was I surprised. I throughly enjoyed this grumpy/sunshine, "pay for play", steamy college dorm-mates story. It was very well written and I smiled continuously while listening. The narration was excellent by both Kirt and Shannon! I look forward to reading and listening to more from this author. A solid 5 stars from me.

Repetitive. Epilogue seemed written by someone else. Not sure these two should have an HEA.

An experience to remember

I was drawn in and intrigued from the start. The dynamics of the connections and the budding relationship brought a ton of entertainment. There were dark undertones present but the beauty of the ending brought the story back out into the light of day. Well worth the time to share the journey.

Money's No Object

Loved the character development and watching the relationship grow as the characters evolved. I was hesitant in advance of purchasing this book but was pleasantly surprised.
