I Loved Hedda & Eldberg sparks flow between these two amazing characters this was a great start to a new series .
I love Viking story there was a ton of steamy scenes also a outstanding story don't we all need a shipwrecked Viking.
Gareth's narration was very good I really enjoyed the music between the chapters..

Gorgeous story!

A very intriguing story with two fiery and arrogant characters. They were certainly well matched and I didn't particularly like their behavior at the beginning, but I was very happy when they fell in love. The lovemaking scenes are very steamy!
The narrator is very good even with female voices and the narration in general. Totally recommended!

A Story with a Difference!

I originally read this book in November 2023 and have now had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook version. This is a really good collaboration between the authors and the narrator making it a story well worth listening to (or reading).
I found the subject matter quite interesting – Vikings and really strong women and it was with absolute delight that I watched as Hedda and Eldberg went from enemies to lovers and then on to their fabulous happy ever after.
Their gradual building of love and trust was quite engrossing and the pace was perfect. Such wonderful characters, each strong in their own way.
I can hardly wait for the rest of this series because this one was just that good!

Entertaining, intriguing and a lot of stubbornness

I liked the story, and although I didn’t like the heroine much for a big part of the story, I get why she acts like she does. I read the book before I listened to the audiobook and to be honest I liked her better in audio. The narrator did a great job with both hero and heroine, I also liked the sound effects. The last few minutes of the audiobook makes me want to (read and) hear all the next books, so big fat 4.75 stars!!

Awesome

This awesome book will instantly hook you and not let you down. I loved how Eldberg endured all that was done to him. Jedda is such a strong character, she has so much confidence and determination, I loved all the changes she went through. The storyline will keep you coming back for more, with all the exciting characters in this book. The narrator brings it all to life in an awesome way.

Bound and Betrothed

This is not my normal genre of book. I wanted to see if I would like it. I did, it was different. The premise of the book is that a group of men have been shipwrecked and are discovered by a group of women, widowed or abandoned, who discover the men and against the protest by the dominant female in the group, attempt to heal and save them. It was engaging to listen to because the narrator was exceptionally talented and good! It starts slowly and builds as the story develops. I don’t want to give spoilers so will not delve into it specifically, however by the end of the book I was rooting for all to end well. It is to carry over into the insuing books, but I must say it is an interesting and engaging novel. I would highly recommended this to anyone considering the Gothic genre of novel and especially for those that it is their preference.

The audiobook was provided to me by the author for my honest opinion of the book.

This is the first book I've read/listened to by Felicity Brandon & Anna Quinn. It's the beginning of a series that has a HFN/HEA for one couple and set up the story for the rest of the couples in this series. It's a shorter listen, and those are hard to write with believable romances. I was unable to see the deeper relationship develop, and had to trust the authors. In addition, I'll admit that I didn't like the main female character at the beginning. Anti-heroine comes to mind. I was getting frustrated with her, but she eventually grew on me. Hopefully we'll see more of these two in future books, getting to know everyone better.

The Narrator, Gareth Davies is just Thee Best, at his Craft !! He has such a way with All the characters in Most Believeable voices and attitudes!! I can never figure out how he keeps everyone straight !!

By Thor’s pounding hammer!

What a great start to a series.
I love a Viking story or six.
Add in some huge hunky shipwrecked Vikings that have been taken captive, steamy scenes, power play, a headstrong woman and you have Book One in the Bound and Betrothed series, a dark Viking romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Even though Hedda’s earlier portrayal in the story had me disliking her, once the story evolved I enjoyed the dynamics of her and Eldberg’s burgeoning relationship.
Hoping that they could sort themselves out and admit how they both really felt about one another.
I’ll be eagerly awaiting what will happen with them in future books and looking forward to getting to know the other couples.
If you like dark romance then I recommend you read this story.
I always love Gareth J Davies narrations and this one did not disappoint.

The Love Of A Viking

I was entertained by the first book in the "Bound and Betrothed" series. Six Vikings were shipwrecked upon an island which was mostly inhabited by women. Each Viking was placed within one woman's household, so that the woman could nurse the Viking back to health. This was Eldberg and Hedda's story. Their path to love was complicated and tortuous. Each character was fierce, independent, and proud. There were some very descriptive steamy scenes. Gareth J. Davies' narration was amazing, and his performance enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
