Another mediocre addition

There is essentially 4-6 hours of story and the rest is pointlessly long descriptions and babble. Found myself daydreaming while listening to it as many times it fails to hold your attention. But, hoping for a return to form in the future and perhaps some actual storyline progression.

It’s about time (spoiler)

I was beginning to think Zack would never hit the D grade, but after 12 books, he’s finally there. Unfortunately, it didn’t come with any real story progression. Just more of the same trials and tribulations. Fights against entities and powers he has no right going up against, let alone defeating, just to finally break into the D grade.

I’m glad I waited to the end of the book to give my review because I was seriously worried his advancement wasn’t going to happen again, but the very last chapters of the book came through.

I was seriously going to give up on this series if he didn’t finally make it into the D grade. I mean, three books or more for one grade advancement seems like a prolonged money grab… now that that’s over with, maybe we’ll see some serious story progression.
