Beneath the Mask Series, Book 4

By: Luna Mason

Narrated by: Angelina Rocca, Antonio Amato

Frankie
I don’t have to hide behind a mask anymore.
I rule New York, and now all I have to do is finish what I started ten years ago.
To destroy the man who took my life from me.
No one can get in my way.
That is until I am arrested for murder and have my first taste of Detective Zara O’Reilly.
The woman hell bent on ruining my plans.
She thinks I don’t know she’s watching my every move, waiting to drag me back into that prison cell.
She can pretend I’m the enemy all she likes.
In reality, she craves me as much as I do her.
No matter how much we fight it.
My stalker becomes my obsession.
She doesn’t realize the power she holds, not only over me, but the city.
Together we will be unstoppable… if she lets me break her.

*This is the explosive final instalment of the Beneath the Mask Series. All four books can be listened to as a standalone, but are part of an interconnected series.*

Loved the Story

Another great hit. Book had everything one heart desires. I hope a book on Zara comes to pass, She is one heavy weight woman.

Suspense and spice

Frankie and Zara were enemies, but there was also an instant and undeniable attraction between them. And once they gave in, it was obvious they had chemistry and a real connection.

These two were perfect for each other, and I loved how strong and supportive they were of each other. My heart broke for Zara and everything she went through, but she was so strong, and Frankie was there through it all.

Audio:
Narrators: Angelina Rocca and Antonio Amato
Style: Dual

I may have had to rewind the audio a few times because I just got lost listening to the narrators. I may have had to rewind the audio a few times because I just got lost listening to the narrators. I mean, Antonio’s accent was hot, so I got distracted, and I didn’t pay attention to what he was actually saying. (Of course, I didn’t mind rewinding for a re-listen.) Angelina did an excellent job bringing all the emotions and feelings of Zara to life. And these two made the spicy scenes sound scorching! My only complaint is that Antonio only had an accent for dialogue (i.e. if “Frankie” wasn’t speaking to anyone, then he no longer had an accent).

Detained is an exhilarating audio sensation!!

Detained is an exhilarating audio sensation!!!
God, Lord, this Luna Mason audiobook was even better than the last one. It kept me on my toes. Just WOW!!
I never thought this series could get any better, but Zara and Frankie just plucked a portion of my heart.
Now, the narration by Angelina Rocca and Antonio Amatois is just a thing of beauty.

Couldn't stop listening until it was done!

I was hooked on this audiobook from the very beginning. I couldn’t stop listening, and absolutely devoured it in a day. At one point I was sobbing in my car during a particularly intense scene in the book. Angelina Rocco and Antonio Amato did a fantastic job narrating the final installment of this series, and will be adding them to some of my favorite narrators!

i loved it

This whole series is fantastic. The male narrator for this book tho. His normal voice was perfect, then had to go and do his Count Dracula voice. Every time it was his chapter, i said chapter 42 ah ah ah.
Even with this, its still worth the credit.
