Good Story, Great Narration

We’ll written short story. I’m not a big fan of “Daddy” though. Could have explored the consequences of their actions. However, it was a quick, sexy read.

Yes Daddy!

This is a quick read and so worth it. You definitely want to give this a try. Ava has had a crush and her best friends dad for a long time and she finally decides to take a chance and ask for what she wants. And boy does he deliver. An age gap, some kink, and Daddy romance, who’s doesn't love all that combined.

I got this on audio and freaking loved it. Troy and Aisling did such and amazing job with the narration. Troy is one of my favs so really enjoyed his narration. Aisling was new to me, but will definitely be looking for more of her work.

Short and steamy!

Short and so smutty. Definitely more erotica than romance.

She’s had a crush on her best friend’s dad, who also happens to be her own dad’s best friend, for a very long time and has been saving her virginity hoping he would take notice of her. When she gets tired of waiting, she decides she’s going to take matters into her own hands and signs up for a s*x club. When he finds out, from his daughter no less, he can’t let her first time be with someone she doesn’t know.

So it turns into him giving her all of her first experiences.

It’s fast paced and full of erotica encounters. It’s fun and steamy.

The audiobook narrators (Troy Duran & Aisling Ren) were fantastic in duet.

High Heat, Quick Burn, Yummy Snack Daddy Novella

Sometimes you need a high heat, quick burn, low angst story to cleanse the palate or just scratch that itch. This is exactly that to me.

It's a super quick read (3.25 hours in audio). There is lots and lots of spicy content, and some plot on either side to sandwich it in. Plus the set-up is very straight forward.

Eva wants to lose her v-card before she goes to explore her fantasies at a "club". And her best friend Kate doesn't want Eva to take risks... so she encourages Eva to explore one of her most hidden (but I guess not so much) desires, the ones that involve Kate's dad.

In addition to some delicious age-gap taboo (since Logan is also Eva's dad's friend) we get to explore some of the kink that Eva wanted to experience at the club. But this is definitely more Daddy Dom light than BDSM or Age-play. It's the care, the tenderness, the instruction and lot's of "Daddy" from both (bite's lip and melts). But "Daddy" being used so heavily as an honorific/term of endearment isn't for everyone... so be sure it's your thing, it happens a lot.

The audio was performed in duet style by Aisling Ren & Tory Duran. Both characters are conflicted and vulnerable. But we also get brave and determined Eva going after what she wants and dominate/protective Logan trying to save Eva from her own choices and giving in to his own secret desires.

I requested and received an advance copy of the audiobook. These are my honest opinions.

Saucy & Heartfelt Age-Gap

Setta Jay has quickly become a new favorite author of mine. Take Me to Your Best Friend’s House is proof she can tackle any trope/sub-genre and deliver a blend of heartfelt story and spice. If you’re looking for a saucy, forbidden age-gap love story, look no further. Take Me to Your Best Friend’s House is a hot quickie packed with heart. Eva and Logan have genuine, sizzling hot chemistry. If you like a quick & deliciously dirty novella, add this to your TBL!

Troy Duran and Aisling Ren deliver every ounce of scorching seduction of Setta Jay’s story. Troy’s performance of the kind, successful, cinnamon roll daddy with a bossy side, Logan was perfect. Aisling’s portrayal of the young, sweet, self-assured Eva was beguiling. Troy & Aisling’s styles and pacing complemented each other well for a flawless listen that flows. They brought Setta Jay’s story and characters off the page with a fun balance of charm and seduction.

A Sweet & Spicy Delight! Fabulous Story & Listen🎧

It is great to see another side of Setta Jay’s creative mind in this delightful and smoking hot romance, an age-gap, best friend’s father romance with a side of kink. Eva has been in love with her best friend Kate’s father, Logan, who is her own father’s best friend. It is a complicated situation, and to complicate it even further is she is still has her V card, but not for much longer and is looking into candidates and options. Kate knows her father and sees the way he looks at Eva, so she suggests to her to go speak to her dad, which backfires. However, her friend talks to her father herself and everything becomes much clearer, and he knows what he has to do. This novella size book packs a whole lot of story, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. I thought Eva and Logan were great together and for each other, despite their age differences. Love is love and when you know, you know and they knew. There is never a dull moment in this book, the story has a drama, low in angst, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Setta Jay, thank you for another fantastic story and emotional rollercoaster ride. 

🎧📚🎧Troy Duran and Aisling Ren are the perfect cast to bring the characters and story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting and was believable in every role. Duran nailed it as Logan, the swoon worthy daddy Dom and Ren was just as amazing as Eva, grasping all aspects of her personality. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had your feeling them all. These two made a great team and their performance elevated the already fabulous story to another level. Thank you for entertaining me with another great listen.

When you’ve lived your whole life with a close knit family & friend group, sometimes you find yourself in difficult situations. Eva’s difficult situation is that she’s had a crush on her best friend’s dad & her dad’s best friend for several years. But it was a crush she knew would never go anywhere.

At twenty-one, Eva is determined to rid herself of the dreaded v-card. She’s resorted to attending a particular type of club to remedy herself of her “burden”.

Logan has found himself noticing Eva a little more than a friend’s dad should since she was 18. He finds himself constantly removing himself from situations that may arise. But when he hears of her plan to visit a club, he decides its time to put his foot down.

The connection between Logan & Eva always seemed to be a little more than friendly. They kind of just worked well. Though it wasn’t romantically at first, their transition into the relationship was flawless. Eva’s naïveté was expected as she’s very young, but the way that Logan took it in stride and matched her innocence with his knowledge & willingness to teach was perfect.

This book was sweet & smutty with a pretty decent age gap. Eva’s “confidence” in her maturity irked me a bit as she was the epitome of naive to me. But her daddy kink fantasies refused to be ignored. I’m just glad that Logan was able to show her enough care to be exactly what she needed.

Audiobook Review:
Troy Duran was the perfect selection for Logan. His “daddy” vibes are strong in this narration. Aisling Ren is new to me and delivered a performance full of passion & longing.
