Didn’t like the new avatar

The earth avatar is a bad person and 90% of the book involves her. She has zero redeeming qualities or moments and just ended up frustrating me.

Parts of this book are the best in the series

We finally get to the meet the earth avatar with their ability to time travel to previous save points in the game. Tons of forward plot movement in overall storyline and a satisfying ending. I'm finding any storyline with a large focus on the gods of the game tends to lead to the best scenes and lines. Not really a spoiler, but we finally get a full backstory and understanding of the gods from both an in game and out of game perspective. Well done!

Inconsistent canon

Pros:
Still fun, some good mayhem.
Cons:
Not a Jason story. The focus was on Cady’s POV and it wasn’t enjoyable.
This story seems to create a ton of canon plot holes with previous books that are not explained away by the time travel alteration. Mutiple important changes that really alter the story.
The first 8 hours of the book are idiot plot, arguing, and a refusal to communicate.
It’s a time travel story and not a closed loop, so nothing matters.

Outside world getting interesting.

There is a lot coming to light outside awaken online. I like the twist and can't wait for the next book.

Well damn was that a great installment! Can’t believe that the author went there with the whole time thing but it still work out and made the story worth the credit! Can’t wait for the next story!
