Gigi Graham has exactly three goals: qualify for the women's national hockey team, win Olympic gold, and step out of her famous father's shadow. So far, so good, except for two little things. Fine—a little thing and a big, grumpy thing. She needs to improve her game behind the net, and she needs help from Luke Ryder.

Ryder is six-foot five, built, opinionated, rude . . . and sexy as hell. But he's still the enemy.

Briar's new hockey cocaptain has his reasons, though. The men's team just merged with a rival program, leaving Ryder with an angry roster where everyone hates one another's guts. To make matters worse, the summer coaching spot he's angling for with the legendary Garrett Graham is out of reach after he makes the worst possible first impression on his hero. So, really, this compromise with Gigi is win-win. He helps her make the national team, she puts in a good word with her dad.

The only potential snag? This bone-deep, body-numbing, mind-spinning chemistry they're trying to ignore. It's a dangerous game they're playing, but the risks just might be worth it.

Contains mature themes.

Highly recommended to those who loved the Off campus series and Blair U series.
Ryder and Gigi story is one for the books. It’s compassion friendship sexy and absolutely a great love story. I like the fact that they had relatable issues and worked through them. Communication is the key in every relationship. No 3rd act break up. They owned their shit and made it work.
Banter on point. Loved that it wasn’t insta love but a love built through friendship and chemistry. I wouldn’t call it an enemy to lovers. It’s a Little more acquaintances to friends with benefits to lovers to soulmates.
I love the angst between all characters. It brought out the found family Off campus series is known for.
Narrators were fabulous and brought characters personalities to life.
Spicy: 🌶🌶🌶
Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Narration: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ teddy hamilton - loved his take with each male character!
Can’t wait to continue the series!

Great start to second generation series

Elle Kennedy knows how to write a swoony hockey book boyfriend and a badass female lead. The side characters added a lot of charm to the relationship building.

The feels: Swoon and nostalgia for Briar U hockey. A bit of angst while they figured things out.

Swoony hockey fun

Male narrator crap but story good. Solid story. Avoids the whole “I can’t possibly tell him/her about ____” subplot. Real challenges.

Decent

This was so good for the heart. Loved seeing Garret and Hannah’s daughter’s story. It felt like a good circle back to Briar and was narrated by two of my favorites. Fully recommend!

Absolutely loved

Graham effect was an amazing book It was well worth the months waiting for it. I loved it. I really loved the interview things with Karen Graham and Jake Connelly. I loved Gigi and Ryder’s relationship and how it kind of happened I love the relationship that Gigi has with her mom and her brother. This book was hilarious Beckett was definitely one of my favorite characters. He was so funny. I kind of really want him to have a book because he’s that funny. I really liked it that it was a hilarious book but there’s also a lot of deep things that happened in the book. There was a lot of spice 🌶️🌶️ 🌶️ which is always good overall from the middle I knew this book was a five star by 100% recommend it and I wish I could forget everything for the book and read it all over again.
