In starting a love story

I like this red company series. unfortunately, the writer seems to be pushing this love triangle. That isn't really a love triangle into the story. and it gets tiring listening to the main character pying over a girl that's constantly acting like she belongs in high school. if the rider actually wrote freya as a strong woman that she would have had to have been to be on the starship crew on the bridge, it might have been more interesting. instead, he wrote her like a fourteen year old girl is constantly throwing hissy fits, and it just ruins the story. because every time something interesting happens, you hit a blockage. That is the love story between the main character and a bridge officer. then, there's anna and the cycle begins again. this is supposed to be a sci. Fi series, not a high school romance drama. i understand that people sometimes insert love. Interest in stories the only problem is. If you write one of them like a love sick child who just turned fourteen, it really doesn 't work

excellent battle breakdown. appointes were reasonable and both side were vulnerable. wish they delta mote in captured technologies. plus what happen to the ringlet?

Nice main character

I like the fact that the author managed to create a different main character that isn't James. I think that's important for this series. I really like the plot which seems to be more and more difficult these days.
I also really like the captain and Anna, BV Larson really hits the sweet spot for these type of characters.

Can't wait for book 3!

And of course Mark Boyette delivers impeccable work as always.

Dead Heros

This book has some promising spots, but it has one major flaw. This author seems to create characters to simply kill them off. I was unable to make any connection with any of the major characters for very long because they had very, very short lifespans. What's the point of listening to a book? If you have no character connection.
