So, remember that whole 'send Montana to the capital—he's ready for prime time' plan?

Yeah. That might've been a little bit hasty.

Our hirsute hero really stepped in it. Like, is on the verge of losing his dukedom and everything he's worked for stepped in it.

The only way out? A little-known technicality that stops Senate proceedings and sends Montana off on what's most likely an insurmountable quest. One where odds are good that he'll either die without a respawn or accidentally commit treason against the Empire.

Neat.

Can Montana stop the Dark Queen's army on his own and hold the line for Glaton? Will he do enough to save Coggeshall from the aristocratic vultures circling? And will he finally find the sword of the gods he lost on his very first day in Vuldranni?

Of Slicing Men is The Good Guys at its finest: gory battles, surprise tactics, and unexpected heroes. Come for the long-term campaign play and rich character progression. Stay for the stupid banter and crazed, demonic inch worms.

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

Great story with typical Montana humor. loved the eater shield. Great lines like "what's that?" It's a tunnel sorta like a hallway underground." Had me laughing.

Another great addition to The Good Guys series

Story is great! Fell in love with plot, as Montana gets free rein fighting. Ugland continues the witty dialog and fun circumstances!!!! Now I am stuck waiting for the next book.

Addicted!!

There are very few writers who write quality work this consistently. The good guys and the bad guys series are such a joy to listen to and are some of the few series I can listen to multiple times. The author and narrator make an awesome combo!

Consistently Wonderful

As usual, it was a fantastic performance by Neil Helligers.
Montana's story in this book has quite a few twists I didn't see coming. I can not wait to see where those twists lead in the next Good Guys book.

Absolutely Love It!

Don’t know how you can give this book a one star unless you really don’t understand how funny these books are. More than once I was nearly dying of laughter. The whole throwing the rock and hitting “bullseye” part well I’m laughing now just remembering it. And the fact the MC is just basically the Hulk messing armies up. Jeez I’m not sure how you can’t like any of the books in the series. And congrats on the new addition to your family Eric. I can’t wait to listen to the new series the grim guys.

For the guy who gave this one star. I’m not bot.
