I dont like the ending. it upsets me how Terrance was left. although I do like that overall everyone got their happy ending.

the evolution of the hero has a steady rate, which is augmented by power greater than him.

I thoroughly enjoyed this entire series, but this book felt like the Author got bored with this world. it felt like the last few books had some really great set up for some good stories, and when the Author got to this one, they just decided it wasn't good anymore and just wanted everything closed up and completed quickly. The King dies, the war is over, they find a home for the Azarans, Ren goes from rank 3 to 6. the first book in this series spanned a single semester at their school. this book spanned years, and with barely any more engaging content. For this (presumably) being a series finale, it was dissapointing. the first 5 books were building to a massive war as we saw the MC come into his powers. the whole angle with the goddess wanting Terrance for a specific purpose feels like it comes out of nowhere way too quickly.

I struggled with this series because of the supporting characters but it ended pretty solidly.

A good ending
