It all started with that night.

The night I made my biggest mistake.

The night I entered their world.

The day I snuck into the infamous Devil’s Ring Fight Club. I had followed my cousin Amelia, who turned out not to be quite as innocent as I first believed. In fact, it turned out she didn’t live in the same world as I did…Not at all.

I knew this the moment I entered his kingdom. My world changed the moment he found me. He gave me a warning that night. He told me if he ever found me again then next time, he wouldn’t be so quick in letting me escape him. His little Red Riding Hood. It was a threat I took seriously as it was only my dreams that took me back to that place. That took me back to him.

That was until they came for me. The Hell Hounds that infiltrated my peaceful world and started the hunt. And there was only one man I knew that had the power to stop them. And my price to pay, was the promise he made me.

That if he ever found me in his demonic fight club again…He was keeping me.

Meaning I only had two choices left, to become the hunted or to make a deal with Hell’s greatest Hunter…

The HellBeast King…

Jared Cerberus.

Suspenseful story but left a lot of loopholes and loose ends. I know this is a series but very little is wrapped up at the end. Like who was the friend? Why were the bad guys really after her? Why all the lies and separation?

As others mentioned the narrator sometimes has an American accent and then on random words a bad fake accent. It honestly doesn’t add anything to the story and was just distracting. It would have been better to skip the accent changes.

The romance doesn’t progress much beyond a few hours of interaction with each other (mere minutes for us).

It was a decent first book but I’m not likely to continue the series. There are tons of books in this series which gets expensive without a bundle option. Especially since the books aren’t stand alone and have cliffhangers.

Suspenseful action

I like the story but the narrator can't seem to pick an accent and stick with it. really throws it off for me and makes it hard to listen.

...i can't tell if it's how the book is written or the narrator that makes the 30 year old heroine sound like a teenage brat.

good book but...

Great series

I had a hard time ignoring the narrator who couldn’t decide what accent she wanted to use. The book started off with this very fast paced background of the family. This part of the book was pretty boring Another thing that bugged me was that Ella was 30 years old and yet couldn’t understand anything that indicated that Jared he had any kind of interest in her. However, the last couple chapters of the story were fast paced, and I hate to leave a story unfinished so I think I will start the second book and see how it goes.

Here’s hoping the second one is better
