AU TEST

In the struggle between warring parents, who will protect the child?

Garry Hartshorn and Softie Monaghan were never love's young dream. Not even on their wedding day.

Softie was sophisticated, a career woman, who owned a nice apartment overlooking St Kilda Beach. Garry had a few rough edges, plus one failed marriage and an assortment of jobs under his belt. But Softie's body clock was ticking, and Garry wanted children....

So they got married and produced the only thing they ever had in common: Matilda.

Now, two years later, their golden-haired child is at the centre of a bitter divorce and custody battle. Both parents insist that her well-being is the only thing they care about. Yet, in truth, Matilda was always the one most likely to become lost.

Unexpected

I loved this story, however, I am sad that I still don’t know anything! Is there another book to give us more?! What a horrible situation for both parents to be in. I was convinced it was Softie’s better than thou personality that was much of the problem. What an unexpected ending!!

Matilda is missing

This book was one I couldn't put down. The basic story was kind of sad and pulls at your heart strings and can make you mad and frustrated. I wasn't ready for it to end.

What?!!!

I was interested in the story line. The characters were fine. But the ending!??!?!? It was just a let down after listening to the entire book. It seems to be ended to provide for a sequel. Disappointing.

Interesting listen, though at times, disturbing.

Interesting listen, though at times, disturbing. The ending is without real resolution. I do hope she does a follow up that ties up the loose ends.

Pat was disrespectful

this book was good like every other book by this author. it was my last favorite because there was no closure.
