Standing beside her father and looking into the abyss that had been her second childhood home, Lucky thinks back to her last night at college. Good light scary book
Disclosure, I received this audio book for free from the author who is a personal acquaintance.
Overall a decent story that plays with your expectations. The characters all had motivations and weren't one dimensional. You can tell some thought was put into fleshing out the relationships and lives of the characters. Some of the twists hit me from nowhere and kept me looking for which assumption would be proven wrong next.
The language for certain repeating events got a bit stale at times, could have used a bit more language variety in my opinion. Some of the developments and back story did feel a bit odd and forced, but worked to bring it together.
I'm intrigued to learn more about the world and the man in white.
In all, a decent story that can be finished in a few sessions. It wasn't too long, and not too short either. Performance was well done and have the characters individuality. I recommend this book.
