The Shadow Crusade has begun. While the Ultramarines reel from Kor Phaeron's surprise attack on Calth, Lorgar and the rest of the Word Bearers strike deep into the realm of Ultramar.

Their unlikely allies, Angron and the World Eaters, continue to ravage each new system they come across - upon the garrison planet of Armatura, this relentless savagery may finally prove to be their undoing. Worlds will burn, Legions will clash and a primarch will fall.

Great call back of argal tal and tragic turns. well written. I enjoyed it.

argal tal

having no real like for Angron before, I have to say this was very good at building the character. I think Angron is the first I really feel bad for. The others made their choices, had their reasons, but Angron is the only one who went into this without disobeying from the start. without spoiling it, Angron, I feel fo him at least

poor Angron

the story was amazing all the way through!
Karn in the epilogue was *chef's kiss* amazing.

great story that builds and builds.
argel tal is also great in this book and seeing his story continue alongside Karn was awesome!

the story was well written and cohesive. giving seemingly unknown and useless people a perspective, only for them to show a part of the bigger picture.
the battles were told not only through the (chaos) space marines, but also through other side character (Lotarra is not a side character. she's a badass and needs a book of her own (if there is one, then please somehow inform my ignorant self)) like the sirgalla crew.

loved it!

great story of brotherhood and Angron
