In a world full of super powers, Felix has a pretty crappy one.

Surprisingly, not a whole lot changed. Politicians were still corrupt. Banks still held onto your money. And criminals still committed crime.

Though the black market has become more readily available.

And in that not-so-black market, Felix discovers he has a way to make his power useful after all, and grasps a hold of his chance with both hands.

Out of the Park!

I'd found the combo of Arand and Hays a while back with the Otherlife books and immediately needed more. I listened to all three of those in roughly a week. To be honest, I was skeptical about Super Sales, having been burnt on returning to an author. Some lose the magic through changes in genre or whatever, but I can safely say that did not happen in this case.
While the story itself was decidedly different from Otherlife, it had a familiar vibe that I truly enjoyed. Just like the author's other books, this one kept me guessing at plot points. I've watched and read enough that things can get a little predictable, but I've never had that problem with Arand. I also continue to enjoy Hays' narration. It's truly masterful.
Now my only problem is deciding if I'd rather follow Runner again or start following Felix some more. Guess it won't matter until the next book shows up (for either series). Please don't leave us hanging!

A little to much Mary Sue,

A little to much Mary Sue but still pretty fun. I would recommend as light summer reading.

fun book

i like the premise. the hole what would the average guy do if you had such power. good story can't wait to read more.

Dessert is served!

I started with this book then found the Otherlife series, and I kinda felt like I ate my cake before dinner.

This book is tasty. Awesome characters that make you fall in love, and excellent narration.

Whether you start here or have devowered Otherlife, this book should set well on your palette and make you want more!

Surprisingly fun

While the overall story can get a little bogged down by minor details in relation to the protagonist's powers. The interactions of the characters is fun and entertain to listen to. The excellent performance by the reader adds to the fun. I look forward to any sequels that may come from this story. And now I really want some pancakes.

Could you see Super Sales on Super Heroes being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

It could easily be made into an anime as it draws many many themes from Harem style animes.

This is an interesting book on a number of levels. The plot isn't one of those. It's not bad, but it reads like a personal fantasy; an ego trip on paper. "Marty Stew" acquires beautiful, super powered slaves by accident, helps them and they fall hopelessly in love with him. For all that, the larger story arc has kind of a Schindler's List vibe which surprised me.

Of concern is that is a disturbing amount of graphic violence to the women in the book. Women aren't the only ones to experience that violence, but the author takes time to describe their injuries in graphic detail. He does not do this for the male characters. Make of that what you will.

That said, the author has some some really nice prose in places, the writing was noticeably batter the further into the book I got. If I had to guess, I think the main character's growth mirrored some personal growth of the author as he developed the story. The overall premise of the main character and the world are interesting and I think worth developing.

Gem

After seeing some of the reviews I was skeptical. Took a chance and loved it. Can't wait for the next book.

Does not disappoint

William D. Arand keeps us coming back for more without fail. Eagerly awaiting his next present to the masses.
Jeff Hayes does a stellar job with the narration. Each character portrayal is distinct and superb.

A Lot of Fun (5 Stars)

I wasn't sure if this book was going to be for me and was pleasantly surprised with a fun and entertaining story that managed to incorporate several aspects of LitRPG into the character development that made the excitement jump off the page. As fans of LitRPG are well aware, many of these books can veer off into harem territory and this storyline does just that. While I generally tend to avoid harem story lines when I know it's major part of the series, I would make an exception for Wiliam D. Arand as his writing does not push too hard into this area while still managing to retain harems as a major plot line of his stories. Honestly, I would say this series shines despite it's harem subtext and is worth a listen for the comedy, LitRPG elements, and great plot.

Very interesting premise

Superheroes, villians, fights, and a touch of romance. A fun story. Is there going to be a sequel?
