Publisher's summary

In a world full of super powers, Felix had a pretty crappy one.

He has the ability to modify any item he owns; to upgrade anything. Sounds great on paper. Almost like a video game. Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities.

At least, that was until Felix leveraged a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to give himself a great deal of points. Investing in Super Heroes and Super Villains and owning them. Using them, Felix built up an empire: an organization by the name of Legion.

It grew to heights that could stand toe-to-toe with governments, even at a military level. Surprisingly, not a whole lot changed despite becoming a mega-company CEO.

Politicians were still corrupt. Banks still held onto your money. And criminals still committed crime. Governments still wanted to take everything from Felix and Legion. In the end, Legion had to back down. Retreat back to a new homeworld, losing important people in the process.

Kit Carrington and Lillian Lux sacrificed themselves to save him and were marooned on a hostile planet. Even as their home world fell into ruin, Felix fell back. He resolved himself to wait for a chance to get back into the fight after tending to his wounded organization.

Now, the Overgod Runner has just appeared and offered him a second chance to rebuild Legion and crush everyone in his way. If he could do that, and take over the government of the country he’s about to be dropped into, he’ll get Kit and Lily back.

There was no way Felix would let go of this chance, nor could he even consider the possibility of failure.

It’s time to get Kit and Lily back. Legion First.

lacking in story

wanted to much time on the feels, didn't progess story enough for my taste. I get its a harem series but the previous books that was a slight sideline. while this one the harem side was the prominent aspect. just not what I was expecting after the first 3 books.

great book but diverging from the series spirit

first of all spoilers also I'm dyslexic so use a speech to text punctuations all over the place yada yada.

book is good don't get me wrong narration amazing as always. love Felix love is Powers love the change. do not like how that this is pretty much morphing towards a wild wastes book I would like it to stay more on the hinted at but not focused around bedroom Sports. if they just cut down the amount of implied sex scenes or how much they talk about having sex the book would flow much better. it really pulls you out of the moment when they're running this crucial operation that they cannot mess up and they keep getting sidetracked to talk about taking someone to the bedroom it was just frustrating at times. it needs to go back to how it used to be but this is just my own opinion

Felix continues his journey but in a reset?

As the story continues into the next chapter, Felix is given a task that will give him a chance to a "do over" and attempt to kill two birds with one stone. Sadly as the story gets good, you are left on a cliffhanger and will crave more... I'm looking forward to the next book!

And the it only gets better!

loved it, the characters all continue to grow especially the mc and it's very good and grounded in it's multiple realities. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Kind of a let down.

I was so happy to hear a 4th book was in the making, but now that I've listened to it I'm kind of sad I did. I believe that the focus shifted a bit too much to the relationships and sex, not enough on progression of the storyline. I still want to know what is going to happen with regards to this and the other storylines in this Arand multiverse, so I'll probably buy book 5, but I fervently hope that it is going to be much better than this. The change of scenery is a nice idea, its implementation is not.

Nick does a decent job as he has for most of the series, but even he could not save this.

Disappointed

Love all previous books by author, especially how they all interconnect with each other. But that being said I’m disappointed with this book, it seems to just change direction from the previous 3 books in the series. The Mc is totally a different person from chapter to chapter. His whole character is basically a whole new character without a backbone. A horny teen with no part of his former self. Too much self doubt and repetitive dialogue. Not sure if this continues in this manner if I can continue with this series. A shame because I thoroughly enjoyed all before this one. Hopefully I’m missing something or Felix wakes up.

Couldn't finish this one

I enjoyed the first three books and the interesting nerdy magic system but the theme of this just seems to only really center around the harem fantasy and "servicing" it's "crazy" members, it got old fast.
