It has a little something, but not enough

There was something engaging, perhaps the potential to develop the characters, a little extra mystery about the protagonist...But three things made this an especially unrewarding listen for me. A basic rule of writing is "show me, don't tell me" and the author often slips into the superficial "tell me" mode. Second, a good editor might have helped the author eliminate frequent repetition of phrases and sentiments. Last, the narrator's nearly constant mispronunciation of Apollo's name, as A-PO-lo (like the pony) was seriously distracting. It felt like a rush job all around.

Intriguing

Good story line. Auther did good job. will listen to book 2. Hope it follows and integrates parts of book one.

Great fantasy with shifters and more. Great world building and very cool characters. Interesting plot that ends well but teases with a great info that made me want the next book now!
Lots of suspense, action, touch of romance, and great fantasy.
The narration was great too!

Pretty good

This is a pretty good story. I enjoyed the characters and the world created. The story started out really good but fell apart at the end. I'll read the next one because I really liked the characters.
