Great dog, great story

Am I very much enjoyed this book! I did worry a bit about the dog and I'm happy to tell you, without spoiling anything, that the dog is OK at the end of the book, I know that readingreview like this would help me to enjoy the book more. A really good book!

could have chosen better reader

Loved the story. It was a great story like all of Nora Roberts' books, but I thought it fell short as an audible because of the reader that was hired for it. She was not able to vary the pitch, tempo, and inflection in her voice to make all of the characters distinguishable. She even mispronounced a couple of words. I loved the book but would have liked it better if I had read it myself. it probably would have been better if there had been one male reader and one female reader, or someone who is better able to use a variety of voice.

Outstanding Mystery

Although at times I felt I was reading a script from the TV series, 'Criminal Minds', this story held my interest, A good mystery with a love story woven in. Vivid descriptions of the huge estate purchased by Naomi made we wish I could visit there.

I have read and listened to many, many Nora Roberts books. This was my favorite!! The story was compelling, the characters strong, and the love story of the family and the lead characters perfectly weaved throughout.
