Publisher's summary

Kagen Silivasi is a powerful, ancient vampire with a unique gift for healing - he is also a son, a brother, and a loner who has survived unspeakable tragedy and loss. Beneath his handsome, well-mannered exterior lies an alter ego consumed by rage and an overwhelming impulse to "kill them all"....

Arielle Nightsong is a brave human, a rebel spirit, and an accomplished healer in her own right. Born into a harsh world of violence, cruelty, and danger, she was enslaved at the age of 10 and given as a gift to the most depraved being in Mhier - the infamous king of the lycans. If not for her enduring friendship with a captive vampire, she might not have survived to escape the slave encampment...or to discover her mysterious role in an ancient blood curse.

When Kagen and his brothers voyage into Mhier in search of their long lost father, it will take more than stealth and cunning to get out alive: Secrets will be revealed, loyalties will be tested, and an indomitable spirit will fracture beneath the weight of an impossible choice.

Blood Father is where destiny and duty collide.

New world, same incredible story telling

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely. Well, I would suggest a friend to start at the beginning of the series and then listen to this book. It is a truly engaging story. Filled with a fantasy land like no other.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that the brothers were taken out of their world to somewhere new and foreign to them. It really let each character shine.

Have you listened to any of Eric G. Dove’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have. So far I have listened to him read the previous books in this series. I think with each book, his narration gets stronger and stronger. I really enjoy him as a narrator.

If you could take any character from Blood Father out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Braiden. I think this story was his turning point. HIs time where he turned into a bit of a man. He was charming, brave, and loyal. I look forward to seeing his character continue to develop.

Any additional comments?

I was engaged from beginning to end. I genuinely enjoyed the new landscape, and generally everything this story had to offer. A definite powerhouse of a story added to this already exceptional series.

Edge of your seat, laugh, cry, repeat!

Would you consider the audio edition of Blood Father to be better than the print version?

This is a tough question to answer because when a author is good they are good and Tessa Dawn is incredible. Tessa writes unbelievable stories. With that being said Eric Dove brings so many great things to the story. There is something special about being read to. Many things I didn't pick up on when I read the story come through with Eric's narration..

What other book might you compare Blood Father to and why?

The whole series is incredible and to me there is no comparison.

What does Eric G. Dove bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His voice is so special and smooth. He brings the characters to life in a way that just doesn't happen when you are reading yourself.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There are always funny and tearful parts of Tessa's stories but there is something special about Kagen that made me want to cry. He was so broken by what he witnessed only he does not come across that way in the other stories.

Any additional comments?

This book reunites the Silivasi brothers with something they thought gone forever and finds the reserved healer his much need healing, and his shot at true happiness. This book is somehow dark and gritty and light and lovely all at the same time. A paradox that you will absolutely love.

Grreeaattttttttttt!

Man is this series good! Each story keeps getting better and better! I haven't enjoyed a series like this in a while. This book continues by telling how the Silivasi brothers go on a rescue mission to retrieve their missing father from the lycans. It turns out Kagen Silivasi, the youngest brother, was there when his father was taken from the vampire realm. He was so traumatized from fighting to save his father his soul (kind of) split and his sprite became dark. This caused him to become withdrawn. Kagen's back story touched my heart and I found myself very happy when he met Arielle Nightsong, a human slave and rebel, who had grown up in the lycans realm. I was glad they found each other and were able to make it back to earth's realm together. The brothers got their father back and managed to kill the leader of the lycans.

Eric Dove does a bang up job as always and he really brings the story to life. I also found myself smiling when he sang the lyrics to "Unchanged Melody". It was really sweet. I think this was the last book available in this series on audible, and I can't wait to hear the next chapter. We will be picking up the story with Ramsey Olaru finding his destiny in the reluctant human woman Tiffany Matthews.

Well worth the credit! Can't wait for the next book and I hope Eric Dove continues to read for this series.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Epic Book in a Fantastic Series

What did you like best about this story?

What was not to like, The Story Was Perfect

Which scene was your favorite?

Nachari & The Spider!!!! Oh them seeing their father for the 1st time in hundreds of years.
When Keitaro got to meet his son's Destinies and their Sons.

If you could rename Blood Father, what would you call it?

The name is fit to the tee for this book.

Any additional comments?

I am in awe of Tessa Dawns writing skills. She is a masterful story teller. A Bard or Seanache or Raconteur would easily fit Author Tessa Dawn.

This Dark Fantasy book is so well written it leaves the reader in a Jumble Of Feelings. Thoughts all woven together. Feeling so overwhelmed and lost as the story is done. You have no idea what to do, say, think, feel.
So here I am the day after finishing this book, and all I want to do is re-read this wonderful story. Yet trying to write a review. Expressing myself, trying to put the words together as to make a coherent review.
Yet I am stumped. I am not an Author, I don't know how to put words together so that they make you feel such strong emotions as to why you should get this book or start this series. I can only try as a reader to get all this across.

I came across this Author and Book 1 when it was first published. This was so not my usual genre. I was thinking okay another Vampire Book. I will give it a try as it sounded different, from such an overly populated subject.
Was I ever glad I did! Despite the very graphic scenes I was hooked. I will tell you this I turned on every light in the house , made sure all doors and windows were locked. Didn't go out after dark for a very long time!!

Book 2 came out. I had liked her Author Page and clicked on release notice, as well as liked her on Goodreads. I was in awe, this author was not a 1 hit wonder. Her characters were so well rounded, the plots so well laid out, and all that hotness from the males!! The women were strong & independent. Not the wishy washy insecure females that so many others seem to write about. You will need a strong constitution, to read these books. Very Graphic in all ways, not for anyone just wanting a Love Story, G or PG or R. Rating.
I became a devote Tessa Dawn follower. As each of her books came out I was right there in front of the line!

Now we are at Book 6 "Blood Father" in the Blood Curse Series.
There are so many reviews giving you everything about this book.
I can not be one of them. This book is a roller-coaster of emotions of epic proportions. See beginning of review, I wrote that, right after reading this book. If you are looking for a story that will take you in and not let you go till finished the story, this is not this book for you. "Wait,What, Why??" This story stays with you even after you have read it. If you are going to read it till bedtime, you will dream about this book and all the characters. Waving hands in air wildly!!

To bring this review full circle. A Master Story Teller. A different take on Vampires, Hot Males, Strong Women. Plots so amazing that they stay with you long after you finish reading the book. I Highly Recommend this Book, "Blood Father"

Would you listen to Blood Father again? Why?

Yes! I love the BCS and Eric G Dove does an awesome job, love listening to him.

Have you listened to any of Eric G. Dove’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to all of the BCS so far and this one is just as good as all the others.

Any additional comments?

I laughed, I cried, I tried to listen as fast as I could to find out what would happen next only to try and slow down because I didn't want it to be over too soon. Kagen and Arielle's story is so touching. You will not be disappointed! I suggest you hang a Do Not Disturb sign out when you listen this!! Tessa is definitely the Queen of Dark Fantasy!!! You have earned your crown milady!!

Spoilers-
Wow I love this series! Even through all the battles, fighting, tension, hardships and sorrow of this series I still come away in awe of Tessa's writing! It speaks to me somewhere below the surface and deep into my heart! I feel the emotions and best of all the feelings of love of family. Honor and duty!! I connect with it somehow!
For years I have loved Nathaniel but, I believe he will have to step aside now that we have had Kagen's story! Wow- sweet and charming, caring, a healer, freed from his demons now he and Rielle will be able to heal each other. Even in all the misery he found it in his heart to hold and comfort Rielle to bring her a small amount of peace. I love the fact that she will be able to acquire all his knowledge and not have to stress over being thrown into this realm in present day.
They were able to find answers to her demons and bring the healing to the now, by naming their baby after a brother and a father!
I was not so freaked out this time by the demon child having to be sacrificed... somehow I knew it was all going to work out.
Arielle faced all these new challenges with a brave, warriors heart and now has the comfort of family and home.
I believe she has finally come home!!!!!! I cant wait to hear more about her and their father, of there struggles and all that they overcome as family, together! Both free to heal and move on in love!
Tessa you Nailed it!
You are one of three of my top, favorite authors of all time!
Thank you for you stories and Vampires that BITE!
Cant wait for the next installment.......

WOW, Awesome book...Tessa you rocked it out of the park again!!!!!

Oh my gosh, so much to love right from the start when Saber lets the brother know that their Dad could be alive,I almost jumped for joy just as I cried when Nachari told Kagen "You are not going to die like Shelby in the sacrificial chamber, NOT ON MY WATCH!!!"......oh man but than when Marquis said about Bradon saying something to the affect ....Our fate and our fathers well being lies on the shoulder of that imperious Boy.....I laughed out load!!!!! Kagen And/Areille story was filled with so much raw emotion, good and bad, I could not wait to get to the end but than I dint want it to end,,,,,,,,,and Mr Eric Dove did a wonderful job narrating and really making every one LARGER than LIFE....WaY WAY LARGER....love love love this audio.....Thank/ you Tessa!!!!

Powerful Read!

If you could sum up Blood Father in three words, what would they be?

Powerful, Compelling and Touching!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love this series and throughout the series, Nachari has and will always be my favorite character. I've always said that he seems like the type of person I could hang out with over a beer...or six. BUT...this story introduced us to an entirely new aspect of Kagen. He is truly as fierce as he is a skilled healer. It was nice to finally see him in the spotlight so that we could learn more.

What does Eric G. Dove bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

As always, he continues to breathe life into these characters. He helps the listener feel as if they are a part of the story and directly involved in the action.

If you could take any character from Blood Father out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Each primary character in this series is fascinating. It would be hard to pick one, so I'd have to have a cookout and invite them all.

Any additional comments?

As I've said before, I think this series is absolutely amazing. As a son and father I find myself closely drawn to Blood Redemption and Blood Father. Tessa Dawn was able to illustrate the complexities of the father/son relationship in various stages making these stories much more than just vampire tales. Her ability to brilliantly humanize these fierce creatures continues to be my favorite aspect of her stories.
