Dark, foreboding, and interesting

4.25 stars. As with Awoken, there is a quite unique and interesting blend of sweet, young romance with the backdrop of dark, ominous foreboding. As the mystery of the spirit Gracie continues to be haunted by unfolds, the foreboding deepens, culminating into an ending that leaves you on the edge of your seat. What you think might predictably happen throughout is tossed on its ear and keeps you on your toes. There’s a quite interesting and unexpected switch up of POV at one point, which brings even more questions to the surface, and I’m on pins and needles wondering what it means, and with that heartbreaking ending, where do we go from here.

The narration is very well done, full of nuance and emotion, pulling you even deeper into the story. You can hear every smile, as well as all the terror and sadness, being pulled from the words.

Wow that Ending!!

Wow just wow! I need book 3 like now! I am not even sure how to feel after that ending! I enjoyed the story and I love Grace and Beau! The narration was much the same as the first book wasn’t my favorite. The tone was ok when she would talk normal but she got high pitched a lot. Can’t wait for the next book!

This book is wow. not at all what I thought it would be like. so much better. I need to know what will happen next. this book is so good. even the sad part. when you feel yourself feeling what the people in the book feel you know this is a good book. and well written
