Short Stories that make you think

These are wonderful short stories that not only entertain but, they make you think. You feel like you’re walking through the twilight zone and at the same time there are some life lessons to be learned. The narrator did a fabulous job making the characters come to life. I enjoyed this book very much.

Who doesn’t love a great short story? Susan May has written on of the best thrillers! It’s short stories that leaves you on the edge of your seat. Any age group can read that loves a thriller!

definitely behind dark doors

my favorite story was with a cell phone and a boy and a man don't want to give away any spoilers but all of the stories were extremely interesting and Susan May has a way of explaining her stories and where they came from or what inspired her. Following the rules is an important rule that children need to learn. Hollis McCarthy did a great job of narrating also, and the way Susan gives credit to her also is refreshing. This is a book you should definitely read, it will make you think!

Oh my goodness. My heart is still pounding. This is a collection of stories that grip you by the throat and doesn't let go. I fully intend to re-read it just to see if I am still sure of some of the endings. They were not at all what I expected. I highly recommend this book. The narrator, Hollis McCarthy, does an excellent job.

Enjoyable and twisted short stories

The last 14 hours have been great!! Driving half the country and with many short stories. I enjoyed having lots of different stories to listen to. Some of the stories are a bit twisted with fantastic bends and turns within them.

Great collection of various stories reminiscent of the twilight zone and other anthologies. Great narration as well.

Great Book of Short Stories

Susan May is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. These stories were great, some of them need to become longer stories! I also love her input as to "why" after each story. You won't regret this choice.

The sense of dread keeps you listening

I've enjoyed listening to or reading every one of these stories because of the delicious feeling of dread and anticipation threaded throughout each one. I especially liked the futuristic or sci-fi themed stories, but they all have their unique place in providing a wide range of chills. Susan May is a master of setting the stage so I feel like I'm right there in that small, dusty secret room or waiting in the rain for my husband to return with the car, or hiding under the covers trying to follow the monster rules. Really loving it.
