Publisher's summary

Handel's Water Music is a collection of short orchestral pieces composed to serenade King George I of England during a boating party on the Thames river in 1717. The music is grouped into three suites, each featuring different instrumental colors and having its own distinct character. enjoyable look at a favorite music piece

I really enjoy this series of lectures on classical music, and especially enjoyed this one since it is a favorite piece for me to listen to. It reminds me of a longer version of what I get at the symphony when the conductor suggests things to look for in the upcoming piece. This was enjoyable but also was very educational commentary. I appreciate the author/narrator's lecture voice as well.
