Perhaps you are like me. A woman living in a confusing and chaotic time, bells and whistles all around. Distracting us. Beckoning us. Enveloped in noise. Nonsense. Perhaps you too, can daily toy with the knowing that you can drive through any of 23 local restaurants and pick up dinner. Push buttons on appliances for anything you need to get done around the house, let appliances do the hard and grimy work.

Perhaps you, too, hold the knowing that we cannot heal ourselves. We cannot throw solutions for our distress into our cart and have them delivered in two days. But, we can follow paths to freedom. We can admit where our lives are fractured, desperate for repair, and begin to heal.

We can begin to put down our excuses, our distractions, put on our brave, cry out for a new day where everything that has held us back can make us taller than we would have ever been without the struggle.

I look forward to a book study. Definitely a book I would recommend.

I have read and now listened to this book and it was even more refreshing the second time. So transparent and hopeful. Gives me the motivation to be more than just hopeful but move into rewriting my story. Giving a salute to the parts that have brought pain and anguish but with encouragement and a new lens with which to see these less desirable events in my life, I can now see how they have been interwoven into the fabric of my life and have been purposed to move me to be my better self. I feel inspired to invite other women to complete a book study and create a community of women who encourage one another to be their extraordinary selves. The way God fashioned us.
