You have an enemy...and he's dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. Got an impossible situation? The anxiety it brings can wake you in the middle of a needed night’s sleep and then stalk you in the middle of broad daylight. It can sneak up on you and cast a cloak of fear and concern over your shoulders that you can’t seem to shake no matter how hard you try. It can take you down. Squash all hope. Stop you in your tracks. Impossible. Impenetrable. Unchangeable. Maybe so...until God gets involved.

The Egyptians in Exodus 1 were intent on enslaving the Israelites, wearing them down so that God's chosen people would become disillusioned and not live up to their destiny. Of the original two million Israelites who received God's invitation to enter the Promised Land, only two actually entered it! Similarly, modern day Christians often hear and understand the promises of God each Sunday morning at church but then rarely choose to experience them in everyday life. In One in a Million, Bible teacher Priscilla Shirer invites us to change that pattern for good.

Who would imagine being friends with Eve - the woman who’s been held responsible for the fall of humanity (and cramps) for thousands of years? Certainly not Sarah Jakes Roberts. That is, not until Sarah discovered she is more like Eve than she cares to admit. Everyone faces trials, and everyone will mess up. But failure should not be the focus. Your focus should not be on who you were but rather the pursuit of who you can become.

Interruptions: They're aggravating - sometimes infuriating. They make us want to tell people what we think of them. But how we handle interruptions actually tell us more about ourselves. The prophet Jonah's existence was interrupted by a call of God that would require a complete change of life. And it scared him enough to make him run in the opposite direction. Yet, what seemed to him to be an unnecessary and useless interruption was really an opportunity for Jonah to be involved in something the likes of which the Old Testament world had never seen before.

Publisher's Summary
Have you wandered from the life you want to live? Chrystal Evans Hurst shares raw and vulnerable stories from her own life to let you know how you too can find your way back after a few missteps.
Over 100,000 copies sold!
What happens when a woman looks at herself in the mirror, lingering just a little longer than usual and realizes that she no longer recognizes the person staring back at her? What does she do when she sees that, somehow, her life has drifted away from all her original hopes, dreams, or plans?
Speaker, blogger, and writer Chrystal Evans Hurst wrote this book because she was that woman. One day she realized that she had somehow wandered from the life she was meant to live.
Chrystal since discovered that this moment of awareness happens to lots of women at different seasons of their lives. Poor decisions, a lack of intentionality or planning, or a long-term denial of deep hopes and dreams can leave a woman, old or young, reeling from the realization that she is lost, disappointed, or simply numb.
And she just needs encouragement.
This woman simply needs someone to hold her hand, cheer her on, and believe with her that she is still capable of being the person she intended to be.
Chrystal uses her poignant story of an early and unexpected pregnancy, as well as other raw and vulnerable moments in her life, to let listeners know she understands what it's like to try and find your way after some missteps or decisions you didn't plan on. In She's Still There Chrystal emphasizes the importance of the personal process and the beauty of authentically sharing your journey one girlfriend to another. It’s a book of "me toos", reminders of the hoped for, and challenges for the path ahead - to find direction, purpose, and true satisfaction.

Finally....Someone understands!
Love, love, love this book! Chrystal answered questions I didn’t know how to articulate. I now have a plan to make the changes I’ve been longing to make my entire adult life! I’ve started a book but haven’t finished it, now I know I can do it. I am capable of more!
Her chapter about discipline is exactly what I needed to hear. My life has lacked discipline because I have based it on feelings instead of keeping a commitment to myself. I will rescue the girl in me. For 10 years I’ve carried a picture in my purse that was taken when I was just 5 yrs old. I pull it out occasionally and tell her I’m fighting for her. After listening to this book I have an actionable plan to be all that little 5 year old me dreamt she would be...and more! To God be the glory! Thank you, Chrystal! When I publish my book I will send you a copy!

By the end of the 1st chapter I felt like I was listening to someone who just wanted to talk about themselves. Wasn't engaging or advice giving. I couldn't tell where she was going and had to give up for my own sanity. Recommend reading kindle version for a few pages to see if you will enjoy the book.

A must read!
Loved it! It felt less like a book and more like a heart to heart conversation. I own the physical book also and found myself reading along with the audio. It was hard to turn off/ put down once my usual bedtime arrived and I found myself saying, "just one more chapter then I will sleep." This was the jump start I needed to get on with living my life and not stop being content in merely just being alive. I highly recommend this for all women out there regardless of your religious beliefs. We all have been and will occasionally get stuck. Grab the hand and be thankful for the help.

Absolutely Amazing!!!
This book was akin to sitting down with one of my best girlfriends and having a chat about everything bugging me at the moment. But it was more than that... somehow. The insight given and the delivery of this book will make you smile, might make you scream and will certainly give you a lot of "AHA!!" moments. I will be listening it again really soon because I think I enjoyed it so much I may have missed something. (Kinda like getting down to the bottom of a movie popcorn bucket and searching for kernels.. Motivation for mid-life women
I liked Chrystal’s wry sense of humour and ability to share her foibles, struggles and journey. However, it is definitely a ‘time of life’ book most suited to married women with families. This is not me.
There are those who will enjoy her applied psychological techniques, but as a clinical psychologist, this did not meet my need.
There are nuggets of wisdom throughout, but I felt this did not fully meet my needs the further I listened although I kept hoping.
