Publisher's Summary

From USA Today bestselling author Penelope Bloom comes the first novel in the romantic, sexy, and hilarious Anyone But… series.

Seven years ago, my best friends and I made a promise: No matter what, we would never date one of the King brothers. Even if they grew up to become megafamous, gorgeous, heart-stopping billionaires. Even if they crawled on their knees and begged for forgiveness.

But guess who just flew back into our lives in a private jet? And guess who just showed up to my job on my first day? Richard. King. Fortunately, it takes two seconds for Richard to reveal he hasn’t changed. Conceited. Cocky. Rude. Unfortunately, he’s also the kind of gorgeous that’s borderline offensive - with a jawline to make statues self-conscious and a grin that short-circuits my brain.

He’s spent years taking what he wants. I doubt he’s hungry for anything else - except me, apparently. There’s no way I’ll let him maneuver his way back into my life. My friends would never forgive me. I would never forgive me. But did I mention his jawline?

Just ok

This story had so much potential but it just never got there. It was super slow burn which isn’t my favorite but I can get past that because usually the characters are building on something. This wasn’t the case at all. There was no real build, they weren’t together and then they just were. No real development. Trust me, I’m not one of those people that gets mad when people fall in love quickly in romance novels. That’s to cause expected but this was just dry. And the end just seems rushed and weird. The last quarter of the book was just very awkward. Im honestly baffled that this book had so many positive reviews. The best part was the narrators. They did a great job which is the reason I finished the book. I wanna know Cade’s story but I can’t sit through another book if it’s like this one.

ARC review/audible

For honest review this is cute , funny and beautiful 10 stars . When in school at West valley the king brothers twins cade, and Richard and younger brother Nick were royality of the school . Iris ,kira and Miranda made a pack after issues with the boys now years later the kings are back . Rick is going to claim what he messed up with kira and get her back .

Enjoyed 👍

First Tim and Paige did a great job narrating this book. I got a lot of laughs. It was very humorous. Kara and Rich made a perfect couple. They got over issues that happened seven years ago and focused on the now. I loved that. It wasn't easy but they made it. Good love story and well worth listening to!

A little mellow

This book was a little mellow for me, maybe I just wasn't in the right mood for this book. It did have some funny parts.
I kept having to remember the characters were young, if it was only 7 years after high. Kira was ok, but I had trouble with the way Iris spoke to Kira, best friend or not. The King brothers were ok, their arguing dialogue was typical brothers and funny. Again, especially with Cade, had to remember they were only in their mid 20's.
