Carl was a regular construction foreman. Not the worst, not the best, and definitely not the thinnest. Even so, he didn't deserve that heart attack! He really didn't deserve being reborn into a dog-eat-dog world as a dragon. To be fair, it’s nice to be at the top of the food chain. Now Carl just needs to learn how magic works, which monsters are safe to eat, and why his hoard is so important to him. Dealing with change is hard enough, but he has enemy dragons incoming, hostile environments, and foes constantly trying to get bragging rights by taking down a dragon.

Light hearted fun
Don't expect an elaborate plot with deep characters. This book is a (slightly childish) fling with adventure and leveling. Jokes abound and cringy references prevail. It's amazing. Would recommend to all readers who aren't edge lords

Still Great!
My favorite thing in this book has got to be the voice actors. They really put their all into the performance and it shows. I have a fun time picturing them making all the screaming and yelling in a sound booth. The story itself is fun and without any noticeable plot holes. My only complaint would be the very last fight Anthony had and how it started and went. The whole fight felt railroaded and Anthony's reaction from start to end where off (he felt waaay to frivolous after seeing hundreds of ants dead on the battlefield). Many dead ants go into making each book, the number only increasing with each book lol. Also, he kind of had a bullshit McGuffin organ that wasn't explained in the least. I did enjoy the vast majority of the book though.

Without getting into spoiler territory there is a literary choice that takes the series into an entire different direction and adds so many characters. I wasn't sure how it would develop at first but honestly it changed the entire tempo of the story and I was blown away. This book is incredible and takes things to another level.
Very slight spoiler here. I understand it may bring some comedic value to the story but considering how he's been talking about increasing tiny's cunning for multiple books And has yet to do so. It is very frustrating and silly for me. Increase his intelligence so he stops being Is a moron. Why is that so difficult? That's the only gripe I have with the entire story. This book is pure gold get it now and enjoy
