Publisher's Summary

As the top PR person for the Belmont Health System, bright, beautiful Jenna McArthur knows how to spin bad news and make it sound good. But when her adorable Aunt Gertie - a secret romance writer - urges Jenna to embrace her wild side, Jenna tumbles into bed with Adam Thomas, a guy she's just met, for a fun and fantastic one-night stand. Too bad Adam is the one guy who's totally off-limits. There aren't enough clever words in the world to spin the story in a way that won't wreck Jenna's closest friendship or destroy her job.

With the irresistible Adam always around her at work, wearing an aura of temptation like a fabulous cologne, Jenna has to hold tight to her senses to avoid falling for him. Will he take her to the heights of pleasure again - or will their attraction destroy everything she's worked for?

About that Fling Stars

I am on the fence if I loved it or liked it. It was different. I wasn’t sure what I wanted out of this book. I liked the connection each character has whether it’s a connection that makes everyone comfortable or not.

I have never experienced any of the heavy issues addressed in this book but my heart goes out to people who have.

I found the book to be a little slow; I liked the time line and all but just felt like we were waiting for something that never really happened.

I am not really sure how to write this review to be honest, I don’t want to give anything away if I talk about it. So I will go generic.

Jenna falls for her best friend Mia’s ex-husband. Her elderly aunt writes erotica. What a hoot she was. And they all have to find a way to work together because Adam the ex has been hired at both Jenna and Mia’s work place.

I smiled a lot in this book, over all a great listen because I upgraded to the audio. I really enjoyed Kelly Mizell’s narration. Worth the read for sure.

About that.

Excellent story. Another one of those that gives you lots to think about.... it has depths.

Truly enjoyed both the book and the narration. I loved Gertie!

Wonderful chaos

Jenna’s one night stand turns out to be so much more than that. Her working private relationships will all be affected.

Note that I alternately read and listened to this book and the audible was very good.

I love this book so much because of the realism in it, this could happen in real life. As a person familiar with the consequences of a divorce I could relate to the story.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues and there’s no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings. I laughed at Adam and Jenna’s dialogues, they seemed so connected and carefree at the first meeting.

I felt like I got to know the characters very good and could easily have read more of them.

If you like fun and realistic romance that are well written I will recommend this one highly. It’s high on my my list of good reads this year!

Touchy subject

If you have any issues with affairs this may not be the book for you. The subject is present throughout the book. Overall well written, but the subject was difficult as my family has recently been ravaged by an affair.

Adam & Jenna!

I really enjoyed this book! It deals with real life situations that I was able to relate to and I got to see from another point of view just how actions made affect other people. Loved the characters in this book, some more than others and loved the ending! I thought the story flowed beautifully but would have liked some more sexy scenes!

How not to meet you're best friends exhusband!!

Would you consider the audio edition of About That Fling to be better than the print version?

Once the audio came out I didn't read my print version. Library is backed up and I wanted to get to the story faster.

What did you like best about this story?

How Adam handled the whole ordeal with Jenna and Mia being best friends. He kept his cool the best he could considering everything that was going on. Then there was how Aunt Gert saw everything.

What does Kelly Mizell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She just added another layer to Jenna's voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh. Tawna knows how to tell a good story.

Any additional comments?

I would highly recommend listening to this story. Everything Jenna and Adam deal with makes you look at life and say if they can why can't we. This book has a lot of layers and some really hard choices for Jenna to learn and over come. It's truly a wonderful book of a woman overcoming so major issues she's dealing with.

I enjoyed it!

I enjoyed the book but the love scenes were trash. It wouldn’t hurt to put a little more effort into them. Otherwise, the book was pretty good.

Quick read

Enjoyed the storyline and it was a bit surprising at some moments...would love to see where Adam and Jenna end up

kinda basic

struggled to finish. genna's continuous concern that she's lying and hurting her friend just gets redundant and annoying... especially because she keeps doing it. you really only need to read the first and last chapter and move on.
