The story holds up

I really enjoyed the book and the audio version is very good. I really like the way the author talks about Texans and Houston and the overall culture and business environment surrounding the story. I would have given it five stars, but someone dropped the ball at the end and two words that were mispronounced ruined everything. In Texas we don’t eat “peecans” and we pronounce the “j” on the word “javelina” like an “h”. That may sound petty, but to a Texan it’s like putting beans in chili. I still recommend the book in audio version or otherwise.

Excellent Romance Novel

Great story for those who love a HEA romance novel. Liberty weathers lots of storms and is great character to root for. Second time through this book. Loved it again and I’m moving on to the next one.

The ending made me smile.

The start is slow, but when you get further in the story you realize the need for the background. I honestly almost quit this book toward the start because of it, but I am soooo glad that I didn’t! The part after she meets the Travis family picks up momentum and had me hooked. Great story.

Lisa Kleypas can REALLY tell a story!

I have read practically all of the historical romance novels of Lisa Kleypas. This is the first contemporary romance that I have read from her. True to my expectations, Lisa Kleypas can write anything in any time period and draw you in! I was completely mesmerized by Liberty, Kerrington, and the whole Travis family! Can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Brittany Presley does an amazing Texan dialect and acts the story and characters with precision!

Beautiful love story

I first heard about this book from a bookstagrammer. I said why not? So glad I did!! What a beautiful story about love loss and happy ending. I have to give a five star because it’s worth it. Writing is done so elegantly and rich.

There are very few books I read that I don’t want to put down and this is one

I read reviews lightly because just sometimes others give to much away. I was reluctant to read because of one bad review. Don’t let that turn you away. I couldn’t stop reading this book. It was a lovely summer read with a wonderful narrator the story was purely delightful of one young girls up’s and downs. Some may call it life and reality. Totally worth the credit and I believe you will totally enjoy this book. Definitely one of her best books out there
