Very enjoyable book!

This book was very entertaining! I loved the funny situations that this couple find themselves in. Both Minerva and Colin and wonderful characters. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Deliciously wicked

Full of adventure fun and just enough history. Great character development, enjoyed Colin and Minerva they played off of each other so well. Their week long adventure was enticing and even gave me the occasional chuckle, not to mention the delicious romantic scenes

A gem of this genre

It’s a simple story, really. But the dialogue is so fun. Which is my favorite part in a good romance, along with a story that makes sense and isn’t contrived.
The personal growth of both hero and heroine, as individuals and as a couple. is logical and endearing and quite moving at times. There are motifs through the book that are perfect and well placed. I had avoided this one for some reason. The introverted bluestocking thing sometimes is a put-off for me, but it’s also well-done, not overly done at all, and makes sense. There’s a lot of surprisingly good word craft and creativity that adds real color and unique personalities to the main characters.
Yet the book is light and not heavy. I recommend highly.

I loved everything about this book! The witty banter, crazy situations one after another and of course the romance! I was wishing it would never end🥰

Loved it!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was very amusing at times so funny I found myself laughing out loud quite often. I really loved the fact that she was like an ugly duckling who blossomed into a swan and got the handsome prince. Very easy listening with a terrific narrator I highly recommend

Wonderful, a victory for audiobooks!!

I loved everything about this audiobook. This story was sweet, very amusing and touching romantic. This was also s fun adventure. Just my second by Tessa Dare but wow so good.

4 stars for the story + 1 huge star for a brilliant narrator. Highly recommended to all HR lovers.

If you just will by one single audiobook this year why not choose this little masterpiece?

A true fairytale

This book was phenomenal! I loved this story so very much. If you love adventure, action, hot steamy romance, and comedy then this audiobook is for you.I will be listening to this audiobook again and again.

Predictable but enjoyable.

The dialog during some of the spicier bits sounds stilted and is swimming in cheese. The storyline is predictable but that could be said about a great many other romance novels. Ultimately, it's passable. I'll probably even listen to it again

Colin and Minerva are just PERFECT

This book is just lively. It has everything... the charming, lovable, handsome rake with a backstreet and a heart of pure gold. A smart, determined, loyal and passionate bluestocking who is determined to achieve her goals. The romance is so wonderfully palpable and you really feel them growing from attraction, to lust, to pure love. The narration is excellent- sometimes it was hard to differentiate the male character's voice but it was not enough to detract from the story. A million stars 🌟 🤩 ✨️
