I've been checking every day for like the last 2 months waiting for book 2. This series is sooooo good.

The only thing I don't like is that I'm still months off from book 3's release.

Easily becoming one of the best.

There are times where I for sure do not agree with Eryk, but it adds to the tension. Jonathan Waters is fantastic and becoming a favorite as well!

Bloopers or bad editing...

Just like in the previous book, the author very rarely or never makes any double takes and leaves in mistakes with tone, sighs and similar stuff. If you are listening to the story and doing something else you will love it, if you are truly enjoying the book series so far and listen to it closely these mistakes will break the immersion, otherwise the story was very nice. I personally really enjoy how grounded it tries to be, despite being more or less an Isekai.

I'm really hoping this turns into another ridiculously long series. well written with decent pacing. enjoyable characters

I hope I don't have to drop this series.

So far this series is great. However, the MC is conscripted into an empire run by despicable murders, such as emperor who murders other worlders for there essence and "first citizens " who can practically do anything they want like steal murder and rape. It's a tyranny. On top of that they seek to enslaved all other species. The problem is, is that the MC doesn't seem to express any inner dialog expressing concerns or making plans for getting out from under this scum. I'd hate to have to drop this series because the MC doesn't divest himself from this filth ASAP. The result, I give it 4 stars now, which I may move to 5 or drop to 1.
