The Complete Father Brown Collection

De: G. K. Chesterton

Shabby and lumbering, with a face like a Norfolk dumpling, Father Brown makes for an improbable super-sleuth. But his innocence is the secret of his success: refusing the scientific method of detection, he adopts instead an approach of simple sympathy, interpreting each crime as a work of art, and each criminal as a man no worse than himself...

Narrator is absolute garbage

Something about the narrator makes the listening experience almost unbearable. He's just so unbelievably boring.

so great- nice to have a good narrator

what a great deal- 41 hours of listening to gk Chesterton be kind logical and spiritual

Not quite what I was hoping for

I enjoy the series but found the reading rather dry and dull. I guess I just had my heart set on feeling the same enjoyment I do of the TV series.

Too many audio glitches

The last 4 hours won’t play! I love the stories but it was painful to try to get through the audio glitches.

Worthy of several listens

Excellent narration: various inflections to distinguish characters, as well as specifically identifying them. I couldn't wait to hear the next story (and there are many). There is also humor sprinkled throughout. I know I will listen to each story several times, because they are detailed and involved.
