A young poacher is found shot dead in the woods of a grand estate near Mydworth. A sad accident it would seem. But the boy's mother is convinced it is murder and when Harry and Kat investigate, they find the poacher's life was not as innocent as he made out...

When a prominent family's daughter flees sleepy Sussex to seek a career on the stages of a glittering West End, Harry and Kat are asked to check in on the young woman. But the two of them soon discover that there is a much bigger danger to the woman and her family than mere acting dreams being crushed...

Nathaniel Parker, born in 1962, graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and went on to join the Royal Shakespeare Company. His television career began in 1988 when he played Flying Officer 'Flash' Gordon in the LWT mini-series Piece of Cake. He is also the lead in the BBC series The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, based on the novels by Elizabeth George. Nathaniel Parker has an extensive list of audio books to his credit, ranging from the classics of Charles Dickens and Thomas Hardy to more modern writings and children's books.

I love Harry and Kat! The last story annoyed me because I never REALLY cared about the girl they were trying to find or her family. The first two books were better.

I love the mix of posh and plain that hese two characters represent. I can't wait to see what they get up to next.

Good series!

If you like cherringham, you will like this series. Appreciated how the background of the 2 main characters unfolds. Stick with it after book one. It is more character/background setup than the other books. Narrator’s American accent is pretty terrible but I’ll definitely continue the series!

Great easy listen

Really easy listen. Entertaining and fun listen, great character and good narration (also slightly fast but I just slowed it down a notch).

The witty stories were very well performed.

The mysteries were well written and fun to listen to. The performance was so good and wicked fun. I can't stop listening!

A Sheer Delight

I adore Kat and Harry! Total relationship goals. This collection of three bite-sized mysteries kept me enthralled and entertained. The narrator is brilliant! It’s hard to believe that one person is voicing so many characters, each so distinctive. Can’t wait to read more!
