Wonderful narration! Really immersing story as well! Plus, this set is a really good deal. =)

Very Enjoyable / Great Listen

I seek this Narrator as she is one my favorites! Found this series and every listen I wind up saying this is the Best Yet… Love the period and all regional accents. just the perfect cozy murder mystery. Well done. On to next in series!

Fun mystery and great narrator!

Wonderful cast of characters, interesting plots, lovely writing and the narrator did an excellent job bringing it all to life.

good story with wit, humor and suspense.

Loved the storylines and the narrator. Some narrators voices are annoying in my estimation. Love Marion Hussey's work!

Engaging characters

Well narrated - a cozy mystery I can listen to with my young children or elderly mother.

Good value. Good mysteries

First 3 books in series. It has likeable characters and takes place in an interesting time in history. The cross between wealth and working class is woven into the story as Cleo Fox investigates. The daughter of a disinherited heiress goes to live with her remaining living relatives at the Mayfair Hotel. She interacts with staff as she investigates. The characters are likeable and diverse. There is a hint at a future romance but nothing in the first 3 books. The books are clean historical cozy mysteries. The narration is good. Paced well. I typically listen to audio sped up around 1.25x.

Make these into a tv series

Such wonderful books! I wish this was a TV series. Cant wait to read the entire series

Insufferable main character

Narrator did a marvelous job really the only reason I kept reading but the first book is just the main character being an increasingly terrible self centered entitled person and facing very little in the way of consequences. “Whoops I ruined lives but ill fix it by doing more of the exact same thing that ruined lives.” Mystery was limited and incredibly predictable but it was cozy and the other characters are cute. the setting and side characters are good. I would not say its historical more historically stylized (it makes Bridgeton look like a documentary in comparison), not that that is an issue with this type of novel. Honestly it’s just a shame you have to sit through so many chapters of the main character being obviously wrong and behaving obnoxiously because the rest is cute.

Too slow

The story line is overly elongated. It dragged missing the timing and marks. The attempt to describe the heroine as independent minded and confident is clumsy. I try to give this a chance but it’s boring.
