Phenomenal
Being an empath, this book hit close to home, touching on so many of the hidden, intrinsic facets of this long pariahed and taboo super power, by weaving it into and around a centuries old familiar tale but in such an original and unique way.

enjoyable but.
I grew up reading the original Bram Stoker version in a classic hard back. I enjoyed the premise but had issues with the overly long intimate scenes. I enjoyed it enough to go ahead and purchase the sequel.

I really enjoyed reading this
I've audioread more than 3 months worth of mostly romantic fiction, and I skipped over this title several times because I rarely am into vampires. This was refreshing enough for me to doubt future such dismissals.
