Great build. Suspenseful

It was a slow build. Sorta pushed through in the beginning because I bought it, so I definitely didn't think I would end up liking it. But by the end I was sold and ready Book 2!

love the twists & turns.

I hate the cliffhanger but overall, I enjoyed the story. I wish there were better physical descriptions of the characters and clothes, I had some trouble imagining them. I enjoyed the narrator, my only complaint is that I've become spoiled expecting male narrators to speak the male voices. Hearing the female narrator try to do a male voice made it hard to take the seriousness of the male character. I look forward to the sequel.

Pleasantly surprised

I was purely going off of vibes picking this book and I'm glad I did. The cliffhanger at the end has me upset I started this one before book two is out but I'm not mad it got me out of a slump after a not great book so worth the cliffhanger!

Wasted potential

I didn’t believe the protagonist’s attraction to the antagonist after the way he murdered her family in front of her.

Twist at the end.

Overall I enjoyed the story. New and unique. The only thing that was slightly annoying was the MFC weaknesses. The repetition of her wanting to kill the entire family and her lack of ability suggests she isn’t really capable of doing so. The reader doesn’t need to know her desire to kill over and over again.
