Quick, actionable steps

Every time I had the chance to listen to this book, I felt inspired. I’ve already implemented several of Liz Moody’s suggestions into my life, notably the cold showers and circ walks (she made them feel so accessible & valuable) that they were honestly no-brainers) and they’re really working for me! Highly recommend.

I’m so glad I found Liz!

This book is perfection. Its format was very obviously intentionally designed to be digested in small bits, which I love, because it gives me time to think about each chapter. I think Liz does a wonderful job of explaining the exact perfect amount of science behind the topic while simultaneously giving her readers an actionable step to take. I will be rereading this in the New Year to fine tune some of my habits. Perfect for gifts!

My favorite self-improvement book

This is my all-time favorite self-improvement book! (I've read a ton.) The author summarizes key learnings and actionable takeaways from a fascinating collection of interviews with top doctors, scientists, and other experts. The format is easily digestible, allowing you to reference sections easily and offering additional resources so you can dive deeper into what resonates most. The author is highly relatable, particularly for those with depression and anxiety. If you want a diversity of science-backed tools to build habits that will improve your wellness across the board, this book is IT.

Not your average self-help book - way better!

As a lover of the Liz Moody podcast, I was worried that there would be too much overlap with the book to get a lot out of it. I was so wrong! While some of the tips were mentioned in a podcast, I felt like this book incorporated the best tips from the podcasts in addition to so many more I hadn’t heard. I listened to the audio version and was so excited that Liz Moody was the narrator, because it felt more like listening to a podcast full of personality than listening to a book read out loud.

What makes this book so great is it isn’t just telling you to “be positive” or “be healthier” - it gives you very clear actionable items on how to do that in a variety of aspects in life, While so many books and podcasts raise the question of “why?”, Liz Moody ALWAYS answers the “how?”.

Why must authors narrate their own books?!

Hire an actor for God’s sake! The narration was hard to listen to. Too bad, because there’s a lot of useful information here.

Full of great info

This book was full of great information and advice. It was also funny. I like the way it’s broken into bite sized pieces; much easier to digest. I think this book could be helpful to everyone. It has so much useful knowledge without going overboard with details.
