Loved This One

This book is so well done. I loved everything about it. The narrators had great voices, the storyline moved quickly and was easy to follow. I cared about the characters and about the outcome. I loved this one.

A most important and disturbing story that needed to be told

This was a most engaging yet disturbing story that happens every day. While the discussion and exposure of domestic violence was hard to hear, it needs to be be both heard and stopped. As a former domestic violence prosecutor I was glad to hear the raw emotion this heinous crime evicts. But as bad if not worse is the pack mentality American society has descended to over the past 10 years. Scandal sells! People make up stories for their 10 minutes of fame regardless of the lives they destroy, lives of innocent people they know nothing about. This book deserves to be heard/read but don’t expect a warm fuzzy feeling afterwards. Think about it and look for ways to make a difference

Engaging story from beginning to end.

The performance was excellent. The characters were well developed, and the mystery was engaging.. Not the typical ending!

Young love gone terribly wrong

Gripping story. I disliked both mothers. One very rigid and the other so shallow.
Unfortunately, most of the narrators were also off putting. May have been better to read instead of listen to this book. And they got away with murder???

You think you know how it will end, but …

A touch of current events and enough twists to keep you on your toes. Dervla McTiernan doesn’t disappoint!

It's Dervla. What else is there to say?

The story will definitely keep your interest. If you like her other books then this one will not disappoint. The format is a bit different than her previous books, but it still kept my attention throughout.

TERRIFIC NARRATION FOR MULTIPLE CHARACTORS

Not only are there seven narrators for this audiobook, but they are 7 of the best in the business, and their voices all flow seamlessly throughout the story. Kudos to all of them! The story itself was good but might have failed under lesser-skilled voice actors.

The way these characters were written was amazing. I was angry at some, rooting for others, and completely shocked. Another great book from a great author!

The characters were captivating and of course Dervla has such a great way of creating suspense and a great plot.

I really enjoyed the story, it felt a tiny bit early to expose the answer to the question/title of what happened but it was different than other who done it stories in that the story continued past that answer. I liked it, per usual Dervla did an awesome job captivating the audience and creating depth in characters. Great find!
