Fantastic addition to this queer cowboy series

I absolutely loved Mateo & Hawthorne together, this was a great addition to the Plum Valley series. This book was a completely different vibe than the first book, I actually loved it more. I will definitely be getting book 3 in this series.

I also need to check out Emmy’s Elite 8 series. I hope that series will eventually be on audio as well.

I thought Blake Lockhart did an excellent job narrating this book. It was a lot easier for me to tell which character was speaking compared to the first one. Probably because Mateo didn’t have a southern accent.

Absolutely love Blake Lockheart!!

Okay, it's established that I am officially a Blake Lockheart fanatic! He brings every character thus far to life with so much personality and emotions, along with his ability to flawlessly differentiate between the two characters with opposite upbringings and demeanor. There were numerous times I had to double-check that he was narrating by himself!

Omg, Mateo and Hawthorne are the epitome of perfection as a couple! Even though at first glance, one would never place them together as they are complete opposites. But, their interactions work, their fire definitely works, and their relationship is just meant to be, even if they met because Hawthorne won an event. And, Will makes another appearance, hopefully he’ll get his own in due time.

Altogether, another great addition to the plum valley cowboy series, with an outstanding performance again from Blake! His little quirks and idiosyncrasies to the story just add to his overall charm and enthusiasm. He is so much fun and filled with excitement, perfect choice for this series. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽 he continues with the series!

This book on audio is PHENOMENAL!!!!

OBSESSED WITH THIS AUDIOBOOK!!!! I cannot get enough of Blake Lockheart’s voice!!! I just need him to narrate every single cowboy romance from now on! His voice continues to have the perfect sound for all the cowboys in this series with his deep and sultry tone that is just so freaking enjoyable!

WOW! As I was listening to this audiobook, I had to pause and check that Blake wasn’t narrating with someone else because after hearing his cowboy voice for Hawthorne in chapter 1, I was completely caught off guard when Mateo started talking in Chapter 2! He completely turned off the accent and sounded like a new person! He had the cowboy twang and deep tone for Hawthorne but then a lighter more upbeat tone for Mateo! One man, two distinct sounds! REMARKABLE!

This book surrounds Hawthorne and Mateo who are two opposites that don’t seem to match on paper, but are such a perfect pairing! It all begins when Hawthorne enters a contest, which is run by the gay video site that he watches. He wants to win so that he can help his nephew bring a gay pride parade to their town. That gay video star he entered to win an event from is none other than Mateo Silver. When he sees Hawthorne’s entry video, all bets are off and he is headed to Plum Valley!!

Overall, I could not get enough of this audio!! It was already such a fantastic storyline but Blake adds in all these little chuckles, sighs, and grumbles that just bring LIFE to the story and make it so entertaining to listen to! This series on audio is a MUST listen if you enjoy MM romance at all!!! Now I'm crossing my fingers he narrates the rest of Plum Valley for us!!!

Loved Every Word!

I absolutely loved Hawthorne and Mateo! Their story was so complex and traversed so many emotions and I was pulled into every word. I adored both characters, I loved the way they connected, and I just thoroughly enjoyed how their relationship developed. Even though it started off as only a smoking hot physical relationship, the connection between them was so strong from the start and then feelings got involved and the swoon factor was off the charts! Blake Lockheart just performs this story perfectly. The voices, the inflectiosn, the laughter, the whispering, all so perfect. Onto book 3. Absolutely adore this series!

Wonderful and touching....

Hi Ho Silver Away! lol...jk. I adored Hawthorne and Mateo/Silver in this 2nd book of the Plum Valley series...I am beginning to think each book will make me fall more and more with this town and the characters. Blake Lockheart is an amazing performer so not only am I looking forward to the next book I hope he's at the helm as well.

4 Stars - it's worthy of listening to again, but I probably won't.

damn emmy!! just read this series. i wish the world was like this. that was one family dinner was wayyyy too cheesy to be real life, but I loved every minute. cried, laughed, smiled like a freaking idiot
