Titus Welliver is Harry Bosch!

Mr. Welliver brings a fresh and authentic voice to Harry Bosch. I first read ``The Black Echo'' around 1994 and have been hooked to the series since then. I've read and listened to the Bosch books over the years (and watched the Amazon series) and each time I listened/reread a book, I'm surprised by the plot details I've missed. Mr. Welliver brings a clarity and force to his narration that other narrators have missed. I just finished ``Black Echo'' and hope that more Bosch audible books are reissued with Titus as the narrator. Thanks to Audible, Titus Welliver and Michael Connelly for this excellent reissue.

Even if you have the original recording, this Special Edition of "The Black Echo" is a must have in your collection. Thanks to Titus Welliver's superb performance, I heard things that I hadn't before during several listenings of the first recording. You'll be happy you did.

Loved It

I started out watching the series and decided to check out the books. Maybe this pulled me in more easily, because it was performed by Titus Welliver. I'm not sure, but I know I liked it just the same. The writing is descriptive but not so much that you find yourself lost in the details and losing focus of the storyline. I feel like it was the perfect balance of detail and plot, providing a strong level of suspense and intrigue that keeps you involved and wanting to know what's going to happen next. I plan on reading the rest of the series and highly recommend to anyone looking for a suspense novel, even if you haven't or don't plan on watching the series.

Thank you Titus for doing this updated recording. I read this book years ago- became a Harry Bosch fan and have read or listened to every book since. I enjoyed hearing again where it all started... Doesn't disappoint.

Loved It!

Having the REAL Harry Bosch read this first great Bosch book was a treat! Also, since I am a huge fan of the Amazon Bosch series, I loved the interviews of both Titus Welliver and Michael Connelly and the insights they each gave to the making of the show. There is no one better to portray Harry than Titus! I enjoyed every single minute of the book!

Bosch With Titus Welliver is the Best!

I luv Michael Connelly's character Bosch, on the written page, television screen, and Audible Book. The best narrator for the Audible books is Titus Welliver, as he embodies the character Bosch. He becomes "one" with the character on the hit T.V. show, so it is a treat to listen to his narration of the Audible book!

Great Audible selection

This book is what I expected when I signed up for Audible. Fantastic crime/drama that is entertaining from start to finish. This should be the Audible gold standard for plot/character development, narration, and overall entertainment value. If you don't like this book then you clearly don't think much of this genre. Cops and robbers story at its' very best. Highly recommend

All things Bosch

Wonderful series that is very accurate as to how most investigations are conducted and the accuracy of the law is not bad either.

Enter Harry Bosch

As series introductions go, this one is first rate. I came to this book series through the tv show and, while the first book, this book, was written over two decades ago, the character rings through loud and clear. Titus Welliver does a great job building on a great story. While I wish the tv show would not end this season, we will still have Bosch stories to listen to! Enjoy!
